Mazda RX-8 down 300, 000 yuan



As reporter with Beijing Times verified from dealers of FAW (First Auto Works) Mazda Motor Sales Co., Ltd. (FMSC) in Beijing, they have begun to reive orders for imported Mazda RX-8 and the lowest quoted price is 380, 000 yuan, 300, 000 yuan down from that at Beijing auto show last June.

Mazda RX-8 made debut on China's market at Beijing auto exhibition in June 2004 and was priced at 680, 000 yuan then by dealers.

Less than half a year later, it fell to 600, 000 yuan. Early this month, RX-8 was priced at 520, 000 yuan at Beijing's Yayuncun auto fair while those in FMSC's agencies in Beijing ranging from 380, 000 yuan to 400, 000 yuan for advance booking.

that still ends up being around $20k (usd) more expensive than if buying it in the us. and the original price was around $82k usd !!!!!

 

What's the conversion rate to US $$? Sorry for being lazy...lol

 

do those prices include the crazy taxes they have over there on cars?

So the 300,000 CNY = U$36247

Is that right?

 

380000yuan = ~$45k usd, roughly 20k more than our prices...just like i said in my first post :p
