Did a search, couldn't find anything...

Has anyone experienced a rythymic knocking sound when closing the power windows? Happens in both the driver and passenger side, and started happening all of sudden. Could it be cold weather related?

Just curious to know if there are any fixes or if it's a documented issue.

Doesn't say anything about knocking.. It's beginning to get pretty cold here in Detroit and I have not heard anything yet.

 

Mine make a clicking sound when rolling them up, but only when it's cold. It's like the gear is running over the connections in the track, and amplifying the noise when it's cold. I can also see a difference in the way the window rolls up when this is experienced as well. It looks like the window is pulsing up; eg. being dragged when the clicking is heard, and then surging up until the next click.

 

Yes this is precisely how mine behaves! The clicking noise sounds more like a tiny thump though. Annoying.

I've seen the TSB.... I wonder if we are headed in that direction.

 

My passenger window does this on occasion. I figured I'd keep an eye on it and bring it up to the service guys the next time I take my car in.

 

I've noticed the knocking or thumping in my car too. I noticed that it also started when the weather got cold... not sure if its related though. If anyone has brought this problem back to the dealers please keep us posted.

 

I've got the click/knock as well, but my music usually drowns it out

 

I am getting a knocking sound when I roll the drivers side window up & I live in Southern California so it is not that cold.

The good news is I am due for an oil change so I'll have the dealer check out the window and keep you guys posted.
