Please Help!
ok so i amthinking of getting an rx8, i have tried to do some research on it but what i want to know is really hard to find out
i was wondering witch year model i should buy, and also what kind of upgrades i need to do to make it much faster, i looked into putting a 20b 3 rotor TT in there but thats way too much money and labor becasue i would have to redo the transmission and shii
so i was wondering how i would man an rx8 really fast so that i could race it and not get smoked, as i would running a stock 8
your help is very much appriciated

If you want to race fast in a straight line, get another car.
If you want to race fast on the track, the stock 8 handles pretty good.
This car was not built for drag racing, but there are FI options available.
Spend some money on driving classes and learn how to drive/handle this car first before adding more to it.
And while you're doing that, there is a wealth of information on this site and very knowledgeable people to help you.
Spend time looking through the different sections and search on specific topics.
Also check out the local forums and get to know people in your area.
I know this isn't a straight answer you were looking for, but it really is the best for you.

The RX-8 is not a straight line car. Never has been, never really will be.
If you're looking to AutoCross it or HPDE, then this will be a good car. It's true potential is it's handling.
If you're serious about making it go faster, I would suggest looking into a Turbo kit. FORGET ABOUT a twin turbo; they're JUNK. Most RX-7 guys replaced the Twin turbos and went with a single, larger turbo. Same goes for the 8.

All years of the RX8 are pretty much the same in terms of speed and looks (besides the 09's). You will not make any noticeable power gains through N/A mods, I suggest you look into NAWWZ or a turbo kit. From reading your jibba-jabba like post, I will assume you have not graduated from college and live in a trailer. Get a lifted truck and call it a day.

You can man an rx8 reallly fast pretty easilly. Leave the drivers side door open with the keys in it, and maybe put a cute girl in the passenger seat. A man should come along shortly and get in to drive off.
