Here are some pics again with the shades tailored.

I placed the shades on the windscreen,
traced out the outline of the windscreen,
undid the stitching of the edges leaving the upper edge alone as it didn't need alteration,
cut it down in size,
took it to my tailor to restitch the edging

It's a little bit wider than the windscreen but as the shades naturally fold up a little when place up to the windscreen it still covers it completely.

I haven't either. It's been quite wet but at least it's broken the drought.

The shopping village has become a bit of a poserville, so it's ideal for the sunshade head turn.

 

now you need to paint the red eyelids gray so it matches the rest of the car

My wife just got me one (not received yet) from ebay for $7.99 + 6 something for shipping. I won't see it till father's day. I'll have to see what she found it under.

 

Would be nice if the part above the eyes came in diffrent colors. I seen them at my local target all the time ,but i think the shade will look silly on my sunlight sliver.

I actually thought about doing that . It's pretty thin and crinkley foil-type material though, so I'm not sure that painting it would work -- I'm afraid the paint would flake off and/or stick to my 8. Hmmmm... I MIGHT be able to glue some grey fabric over the red though....

Today I showed it to my nephew who is 5 and LOVES Cars -- he went crazy! He thinks my 8 looks like "Sally" the blue Porsche.

(Oh, and my 8 is Titanium Grey)
