Well, I went back to the "Book" and I guess I just didn't look close enough at the vents...just at the top end. So, I now know they actually work. Great for Mazda!!!
And now I know about the dual oil coolers, but I think they are in the front...maybe behind the fog light air intakes? Someone mentioned a "dry sump", but the book says "wet sump".

Still would've liked the passenger seat to have had a lumbar support...my wife will no doubt give me some grief over that omission. The only reason I got leather was because she wanted seat heaters! WE live at the beach!!!!

 

This is very true. Even in luxury cars it's not uncommon for the driver's seat to be 42-way adjustable with lumbar and memory while the passenger seat has a control for seatback tilt...
