picked up new RX8 today

Drove home our new Titanium RX8 today...Base model, built June 2004. Automatic...Great car for both of us. 29 years married with no kids...and a former 73 T top vette owner. The RX8 is an outstanding car even if we're both 50!

Good to see someone close to my age getting in on the fray. Finally decided the past week to (sadly) get rid of my Cooper S and put another rotary in the garage.

thanks for the welcome!

Well it hasn't been easy selecting a new car. We're both designers by training (I'm an industrial designer... the type that designs cars , comsumer products etc.) We don't have a buget to buy an exotic but appreciate the design and hate to settle for less. It's a curse. The RX8 fit all our criteria...Great handling, ergonimics and design...most of all, you don't see yourself coming and going. We thought about getting a restored 63 split window Vette to hold on to and enjoy, but to drive on a daily basis wasn't practical. We plan to drive and keep the RX8 for many years...plus..it's new technology. Again...thanks for the welcome...this is a terrific forum.
