did you have teh tailight asembly off the car for any reason? perhaps when it was in the shop they bumped into it with something forcing the bumper up slightly, causing the paint ot crack and it is just now peeling off.

Never been taken apart, bumped, rear-ended, in the shop, none of all that. I'm thinking just straight forward defect in the paint. The only other possible explanation is the vibe from the junk in my trunk.

I have 2 12inch JL in my trunk and if that causes the paint to peel I would be shocked. There is no way its from the bass

Excellent question. This regards a serious matter that merits serious discussion. If one of us is experiencing peeling paint, all of us should be concerned. If it is a gag, then close the thread. These hijacking *****'s are just killing this forum and making any kind of rational discussion nearly impossible. We need to start ranking forum members for their propsensity to highjack and start banning the worst offenders from the forum.

How or why did you know this? What can you offer to this thread that is constructive? Sorry to go off on you, but I'm so tired of someone raising an issue worthy of discussion and next thing you know it's like "Well the Z would never do that" or something equally brainless. You're not the real offender here, I'm just tired of those who can't stay on topic.

Arrow Well spoken wannab...

I know the initial pix in this thread were hard 2c. I think the fact that its a black8 doesnt make it any easier so I have tried to take a couple different angles on it.
After more careful inspection, it appears to 2b caused from improper preperation at the factory. Also, there is no sign of primer, just straight paint on abs.

Really, this is a simple issue.........

Take it back to your dealer and tell them to fix it.

Issue taken care of.
