I just got done watching the awesome DVD that came with my 8 and i realized that it looks like my 8 doesnt get all the way up to operating temp. The 8 on the video had it's temp gauge needle all the way to the point of where it was partially covering the temp icon on the gauge. Mine never makes it to the icon and is a line or 2 short of it. I figure that could be about a ten degree difference or maybe a little more. Maybe a stuck open thermostat. If I could get some feedback as to where your's get to I'd really appreciate it.

They all show slightly less than directly in the middle of the guage in my experience.

 

looks like that's normal.. mine also doesn't go all the way to the center there.

if anything, it makes me feel good because I know that my engine is running "slightly cool" vs "slightly hot"

 

Count me among the temp-doesn't-go-all-the-way-to-center crowd.

 

Same here, even cooler when running hard.
