One of those moments...

I had one. I had one of those moments where your just awestruck. Where you need to stop, pause, re-evaluate whats going on, then proceed.

I was driving to pick up a roommate after going to his friends place. I told him I could come pick him up when he was ready, because I love an excuse to drive. I show up, pick him up, and walk down the stairs of the apartment complex. One of those nicely lit parking lots, very clean, quiet. I reach in for my keys, then I look up, and just stopped walking. There it was, shimmering in all its red beauty. Clean, parked perfectly, by itself. The pearl sparkling under the streetlamps. While I was staring, an orange 350z(the car which actually I wanted first, before I drove an 8) drove right by me, didn't even double take. I then clicked unlock, and kept walking. As I'm getting in, a group of girls walks by, I look at them, they look at me, we exchange smiles and smirks. I then start up my car, lights on, sunroof open, music down, and we take off. As we pull onto the road, my roommate asks "What just happened?" and I replied with "I don't really know"... but now I do.

That my friends, is love.

At work, I park so that I can admire it all day long.

Last Tuesday I waxed it. On Wednesday, the overhead sun shone so brightly off of it that you couldn't look directly at it.

Beauty.

This car rocks. I'm serious.

I was driving through town today, just minding my business, and I see this elementary school/boy scout/type car wash, with some kids out on the sidewalk with signs. My car is almost NEVER dirty, especially since I just waxed it two days ago. Anyway, I'm driving, they are waving at the other cars, waving the signs, saying "come get your car washed" and "looks dirty to me", but, as I drive by, this younger lad in a baseball cap drops his sign to the sidewalk and shouts "nice car man".

I seriously cant go one day without getting a compliment. Its amazing.

My girl has to practically drag me away from the doorway and up the stairs after parking my 8 in the garage. I cant count how many times i have tripped on the first step from rubber necking around the doorway catching that last glimpse before the door shuts........then of course i get the "why dont you look at ME that way?" routine.

Ha Ha, I klnow the feeling...

I have this ex, that at one point was not an ex, well I remember liek 6-8 months into the relationship, still thinking every single time I first saw her, that WOW, she's mine, I get to sleep with that...

Still to this day, everytime I haven't driven in a few hours, when I walk up to it I think, WOW, I get to drive this home...

I've had the exact same feeling. Then the owner showed up, got in, and drove off leaving me to sulk in the sad reality that just occurred.

I had younger kids yell nice car as I drove buy, and the other week I had a lady pull up next to me at the light and say hey thats a nice car, must be fun to drive.

I love to catch people staring and giving double takes to the car.
