Pretty sure they only pay to put back to OEM, insurance won't foot the difference between stock and MS. I DID upgrade to MS after my accident though.

$2500 per damaged bumper seems high doesnt it? I had my whole car painted in a 2-tone fade, including replacing a damaged front fender, and installation of MS front, sides, and spoiler for $4500.

Well yeah, they give you the money to do whatever you want with, just saying the money they dish out is based on what they think itll cost to get you back to normal, not based on what you want to do to the car. The money is yours to spend how you want, either way.

 

Exactly. I'm getting $2200 to fix my car and I want it to look flawless. Staying with OEM parts is the only way everything is going to get fixed.

 

If after fixing the car there's still extra money.. use it to pay for some driving lessons for your dad.

I've had the car for less than 6 months.... 3 hoods 3 bumpers, 2 headlights, a fender. Oh and the guy with the corner, new oil coolers and a new intake...

It's cursed, been broken into and someone opened their door into it.

None of it is my fault just terrible luck! So I feel your pain.

We have a 4 car garage but it has a boat and a bunch of bikes and stuff in two of the spaces and my mom seems to think she owns the other 2 and parks in the middle. So we have 3 cars outside... my dad says he's backing in from now on.

haha, i know how you feel dude. i went through 5 bumpers in about a year. beaver on the track. deer on the hwy. drunk guy in a parking lot. man-hole cover. me sliding into a guard rail/light post. 1 autoexe bumper and 4 mazdaspeed bumpers....

oh, and a huge dent on my driver side after coming out of the movies...

My VR has been rear ended while stopped in traffic, fallen off a transport trailer, almost burnt up because of a clogged cat, and nearly destroyed when rear ended by someone else's t-bone collision.

 

Why can't the boat stay outside? It's a BOAT. Can always throw a tarp over it if worried about it. Our boat's been sitting outside for like 20 years, no problem.

We only have a 3 car garage, but we are soon getting a BendPak garage lift put in so we can fit 4 soon.
