UK Oil in air box resolved at last(CAT)

Many months ago i posted on here about oil being blown into my air box at high revs .
I'm happy to say it's been resolved with no help from my mazda dealer who i must say are total useless.
It turns out it was my cat and i only found this out after gutting it to get reed of all those marbels rattling round .
So for a month i used the car with the gutted cat and it was great more power and no oil in the air box at high revs.
I now have a standard cat back on it with no problems cars going great so all my problems was down to a dead cat causing back pressure i guess .
Only thing can't understand why mazda dealer didn't pick this up

Huh, usually oil in the intake meant that there was too much oil reservoir. Good to know the cat can do this too!

March 2009 had to have a new engine so i would think it had some effect on my CAT....As for coils HT leads spark plugs they are all new and were replaced before i had a oil problem......The thing is i never got the loss of power and over heating that most get with a failing CAT....But everything is good now and back too loveing my RX8 which is good for tax man as we pay high duty on fuel here.
