Ohio Tuner needed

I apologize if this is in another thread somewhere and i missed it, however, does anyone know of a Really good Mazda RX8 tuner in the cleveland, ohio area that's familiar with the car. I'm in the middle of a nightmare with someone that's working on the car now and I don't think it's going to work. I need someone that's familiar with the car and is comfortable with the Greddy Emanage Ulitimate, as well. thanks !

An RX8 tuner in NE Ohio... not that I could find.
I've talked with "tuner shops", who have tuned RX8s, but none were really familiar with RX8s which is something I think is important.
This is why I bought an AccessPORT and had it tuned by MazdaManiac.

Sucks that he didn't get in on the Dyno Day taking place now.
Not too far of a drive from NE Ohio.

ok .... when you say you had it tuned by mazdamaniac, do you mean you purchased a custom map for the accessport or you actually had them tune it ? If so, where are they located ? also , if anyone know, if you buy on of the maps from mazdamaniac for the cobb .... will it still be able to be used by the emanage ? I didn't see a choice there for the emanage . However, the emanage does come with software so maybe the map for the car is already on the software ?

go to the mazdamaniac web site and read threads around the fourm to see what it is all about. I have a access port now and plan on using mm when i finish my build. and you would be buying a custom map for the access port and he build the map off data logs you send him via email.

there is no product available for tuning a s2 yet to my knowlege. I hope you didnt spend the money on a kit you can not use at this time.

the Cobb AccessPORT is not compatible with series II's. dont waste your time and moeny with the Emanage. you will struggle at best, to make that work even as well as OE tuning.

You can't use an AccessPORT with the R3, but I thought people were running FI with "piggy-back" systems.
I honestly haven't been keeping up with the Series2 threads, but maybe others (including Jeff) would know better.

I cannot use the Access Port, mine is an 09, discont after 08, so the only option would be the emanage that i know of. factory tune is fine for now, but not if i go FI , correct ? The only option now is the Greddy unless someone knows of another ?

If you're currently not FI, I would wait for a little bit.
No reason to jump into a tune until you do go FI, and by then, lets hope the mad scientists at BHR has something new for us

Also... head over to the Akron/Cleveland thread if you want to discuss other things or come to a meet:
