Thanks for reminding me, its time for her daily wash now....

You're right, I do wash this car a lot more often then my others. I just don't like seeing it dirty. I usually guage it by the brake dust on the front wheels, when they get bad, it's time to wash. So far, I haven't let her go more than a week without a wash.

I wash and wax my baby at least once a month. I wash it every week when weather permits and I detail the inside completely using q-tips and all every other week. I love this car.

Personally it's just a nice car for me still. If it was a $100k car, I'd prolly take care of it better. I only wash it like 1 every 2 weeks if that.

Yeah it gets a full wash once a week and then a spray off one more time during the week to wash all the pollen off. That stuff is awful this time of year in NC.

Hard to define "normal", but with a car like this, I think we all understand the love affair!!

I haven't gotten my 8 yet (first week in May -- can't wait!), but I hope I do a better job of cleaning it then I do my current car (don't ask!). I'll just have to get my behind out of bed early on Saturday or Sunday morning to clean the car .... (I have two kids ... I try to sleep as "late" as they do on the weekends).

Cool Ob/Comp.

Ooooh, you guys are going to hate my car when you see it......

Anyone got pointers on how to clean stainless steel 'Borla' tips that have been thru 10k of a salty Canadian winter, with not a wipe from a rag?

Is it OK if I still post here, now that I'm officially a pig?

I ran into a new '8 owner at the dealers, and he looked over my car with the comment that I must have "just come back from a rally or a hellacious road trip".......yeah.....thats it.....a road trip!

Zaino-schmaino........

With 10 coats of Zaino on my car, my nightly ritual in my garage:

1. California Duster the entire car.
2. Dust off the wheels (using the small california duster.
3. Clean the windows/mirrors using Stoners, paper towel
and then buff with newspaper.
4. Clean the exhaust tips with the used paper towel from
the windows.
5. Use the Z6 detail spray (if needed)

total time = 15 minutes each night. The only time I have to wash the car is if I get caught in rain, which here in Florida is not too often. My car NEVER leaves home dirty. It's like the Batmobile never leaves the Batcave dirty - LOL.

I think people with OCD are awesome. Have you seen Monk? Okay, so it is not real but its still interesting watching these people.

Navybeard, I'm not making fun of you or anything but, could you stand seeing something not right or messy?
