So how many gallons are you putting in? I'll guess probably a bit less than 14, because I've been running till the indicator is pretty far down below "E" and squeezing in about 14.7ish.

Without consulting my trusty calculator your 8's returning 25 mpg. Jeez, I'm 20% deficit relative to that.

 

I've peaked 27 a couple times...also this last tank was combined 90/10 of highway/city driving.

 

i just calculated my millage from the last 4 months, and i averaged 16mpg !!!
this is about 60/40 city/highway

also my car seems to be worse on the highway than in the city .

Cruising or redlining im always getting under 10mpg. I have new spark plugs, spark plug wires, new air filter, tires are inflated properly, and I cant figure out why this is happening. If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate the help. Thanks

 

all the people that get under 15mpg's cruising/normal driving did you get all the recent flashes done by mazda?

I average about 20 mpg. It drops to 16 if I'm driving it like I stole it. I have gotten just over 27mpg on highway trips. It's better this time of year when I'm not running the AC compressor & fan all the time.
