I was at the local Mazda shop for oil change with my wife's Mazda6 wagon. I strolled around the lot to check out the R3. For the life of me, I just couldn't locate the parking lights that is available in the original rx-8. Seems to exist judging from the sample on this forum's banner.

parking lights = driving lights I think... the light that's kind of yellowish in the headlight assembly on the older 8's. Not sure how it looks on the new ones though.

 

amber colored lights that ur supposed to use if ur parking and not driving....no headlights....one click on the headlight switch

 

It turns on the side markers of the front headlights
