2005 RX-8 GT Package, Sunlight Silver w/ spoiler
I just got my RX-8 Saturday night (after waiting 4 weeks for the Chicago based dealership to ship it 500 miles). I am loving everything about it. I am about 150 miles into the break-in, and I'm trying to follow the rules... but I must admit, I have redlined it 5 or 6 times... I just couldn't help it.
I have posted pics here.
And I have an A/C question here. Your help would be appreciate with this one.
Other than the sqeaky brakes (which I hope is a cold climate issue), and the A/C issue in that other thread, I'm loving every second of it. I'm looking forward to an odometer reading of 600 or higher!

Count me in too! I just got final word that I'm soon to be the owner of a 2005 Whitewater Pearl AT, with sport package! Excited doesn't even begin to describe how I feel right now!

NKling, Congrats on the Silver! It is the best colour and it looks great, but get some clear corners and maybe some strakes.
lmitch6, When do you get it?

Congrats! It's beautiful. This forum has helped me in so many ways, and everyone is great, all helped me out alot. (except for certain people who are wise asses) Try to read as much about problems, car cleaning and the whole 9 yards so you know for the future. Enjoy!!

Welcome to the club!
I know it's hard not to redline but make sure you try and follow those break-in procedures. Your car will thank you later.

Well guys, I got lucky and the dealer transfer went quicker than expected - I picked mine up today!!!! 05whiteRX8 - you're right, whitewater is the coolest color - the pictures really don't compare to seeing it in person!

Which dealer in Chicago? You need to go check out the Midwest thread in the regional threads area and get on the RX-EVOLV email list administered by RedSheDevil.

You've made an excellent life decision.
As far as squealing brakes go, I wish I had left mine alone. It was a very minor problem that went away after a couple of stops, but since they've been "fixed" the noise is much more persistent. Hopefully it will disappear in time.
