New Toy! (First Rotary)

I've always had a fascination with Rotary engines, but never actually owned one. I recently stumbled onto a great little car at an insurance auction... $6500. I joined today now that I actually own an RX-8! Looking forward to a little Zoom Zoom!

2004 RX8 6spd, issued salvage title as it was whacked in the front and semi-repaired before the auction. A few things are still needing attention: Airbox, fuse box computer box, & battery box all still broken or cracked- basically just need to swap out some plastic junk in the front. Other wise the repair job was tidy and clean. Seems to run just fine & I can't find any issues with suspension components or drivetrain.

Welcome and congrats. Nice find. What else you got in the garage there? Do I see the rear of a 300ZX reflecting into the side of the 8?

That looks just like mine, and it seems the repair went flawless, besides that little gap between the front bumper and the hood, but heck, for $6,500, I will be able to look WAY past it

Welcome to the club!

Yeah it is definately a 300ZX. Look closely at the tail lights and then you will see why.

By the way Welcome to the club DesertClimber. Post your pics in the calling all Titanium Gray's in the Multimedia section.

TWO 1993 300ZX's, actually. We just sold the 5 speed this AM, and the auto is now for sale.

It was actually just the rubber pieces bolted onto the front bumper/cowl... Loosened the bolts and slid it down some. Huh, it does look like a gap in the photo! All fixed.

Soooo... Those rims don't come stock chromed at all? Didn't know that. Yes, for $6500 I'm looking WAY past any flaws and just enjoying the car!

nniicceee......Sucks its a salvage title but I dont think youd have any problems getting your money back if/when you sell it. 6500 is aggressively low!! lol I hope it serves you well
