New series 1 owner
Well I did it this week.
As some know I have a low mile series 2 for the past 3 years but found a amazingly clean series one from another forum member. He completely undersold how nice this car was. So I picked it up.
Collection is now at 2 rx8’s
1 full build 528awhp focus rs
a 498whp ecoboost truck
2.0 ecoboost edge running e30 tune
Just waiting on the new gt500 to be delivered and a few more fun but cheap cars I’m shopping for.
Gonna need a bigger garage.

Weekend Warrior
Nice pair of 8s there. I think that would do my head in by comparing/ confusing S1/2 issues and funtionality! Top effort though!!
Prefer the S1 myself and great colour.

So I took
it for a shake down run this weekend about a two hour trip on some back country curvy roads.
Have to say everyone that is crapping in the auto is doing it a disservice. This thing is more than I expected.
After reading all the negative comments on how they suck I was not expecting it to be as good as it is. It clearly redlines a bit early which I plan to fix with a tune. But overall it’s pretty quick and fun. I think I’m gonna keep it for a while.

I’d be willing to bet that as fast as this shifts that most people with a manual especially at the track would be slower. Since my local two tracks gratten and gingerman both only have two spots that I barely touch redline on my manual.
Wish I didn’t have to dump so much into the track prep to make them identical and do a side by side test. Best I’m gonna get is swap tires. Trying to hold off on suspension but more than likely it’s gonna get that also.

Big shout out to Bill B on the forum.
Got the car from him. So far it’s great. Put a set of 245-40-18 pilot sport 4’s on it. Bhr coils, wires, colder plugs, ebc pads and rotors, swapped all fluids to amsoil, took the car to an hpde days and it ran fantastic for an auto. Wife is gonna try beginner class with a friends wife on Memorial Day weekend.

It’s brand new. Lol
got the driveway done now so it’s really clean.
Side note I’ve found that since I’ve been putting down shipping blankets to do brakes and oil changes I don’t get stains on the fooor but the best part is it’s much easier on my knees and ankles while sitting
