New RX8 R3 Owner (pics)

Wife always wanted a RX8, so I decided to purchase one while I can still get them with low miles. Got her a 2011 RX8 R3, and with the help of Ben H. from these forums I added some minor mods to personalize the vehicle.

Philips Daylight 8 LED (again thanks Ben for the info)

Spyder Smoke LED Third Brake Light (Felt it needed some red color, so I added red LaminX tint)

Finally Pioneer X5500BHS (Can't seem to get the SiriusXM tuner to work atm. I believe there is an issue with Metra Axxess Steering Wheel Controls. Plan to call Pioneer on Monday)

Nice and clean! Any future mods or just leave it stock?

That's it for now. I like everything that came with the R3 package, so no heavy modding....yet.

You might consider buying or possibly making some oil cooler screens. I don't know how many miles are on that car but it doesn't take many for the oil coolers to start getting beat up badly. I wish I had got mine sooner because I had to spend a long time bending and straightening the fins.

I'm sure you have already seen links to it but be sure to read this. https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-discuss...t-here-202454/

Thanks. I was sure to read up before even purchasing. Wanted to make sure I knew what I was getting into. This forum has been super helpful.

Talked to Pioneer and it seems the X5500BHS has an issue with the sirius tuner when the Axxess SWC is installed. They wanted me to ship them the unit to install a new chip, but since I ordered from Amazon they would not cover it under warranty (not an authorized dealer). I decided to just return the unit and go with a X940BT. The splash screen I created was inspired by paimon.soror.

Help installing Philips Daylight 8

I recently bought the Philips Daylight 8 and would love to install it.
Just have a few questions:

1. Which wire did you tap into for the parker?

2. Where did you stick the module box in the engine bay?
