Exclamation new rx8 haggling

well im planning on purchasing an 8 (probably in the next coming months) and was wondering, how do most of you get a really low price for a NEW rx8?
i see some people here get thousands off the sticker price.. i mean with any other car they would probably knock off a 1000 or so but i see some outrageous prices here.

first of all i am interested in a NEW MT rx-8 [brilliant black-touring] 07' at GALPIN MAZDA on Roscoe (So Cal) and the initial MSRP price is $31,230
ive seen it on the lot for some time now

How low do you think i can go with that? and how would i haggle to get that low price? [since the new 09' is coming out soon, dont like the look]

My offer sat at the dealership for 3 months. Then they called one day and let me take it at the price I had offered.

don't like the look of 09? but the engine of the new rx8 may very well be more reliable. food for thought.

interesting, but its not just the look but the price. chances are you probably wont be able to get it around the 20s like you can with the existing 8s

Looks like the going rate this weekend in Socal is $22,495 (plus fees) for a sport model.

Nothing special, just went through the internet/fleet dept. and that's what they offered.

Please remember that this is for the Sport model w/ no options ($200 for the pearl white) so that's only a little more than $2000 below MSRP. Now if that's what I paid for a GT model I'd be high fiving myself right now.

still though, that's still a pretty good deal. May I ask how much was the sticker price/ MSRP of your car?

search inventory from the mazda website for a new 07.

There are still some on the lots and the dealer should be ready to move these.

2008 RX-8 Sport
Crystal White Pearl

$27,285 MSRP
$24,995 selling price

It's a Sport model with no options except the $200 pearl white paint. I got the deal through the internet sales/fleet sales dept. Pretty straight forward deal and the sales guy and finance manager were very cool people with a good sense of humor. I had a very good buying experience at my dealer.

i have, thats where i found the rx8 i wanted, ive also seen it in person
i just don't want to go into the dealership and pay more for something that has decreased over time (07')

plus i could not find another brilliant black close by, thats the only one, at galpin. other than that i would go with blue, but could not find one, they are only in silver, pearl or some other colors in my area.

If you want it I would just go make an offer. Start off knowing that the current incentives are 3k off of msrp for the 08 models. An 07 should go for less.

NEVER give up. If they stay firm with their price, you say "F NO" and hold onto the price you want. If they continue to say no, leave your number and walk out. They will call back, they always do.

yeah, what i was thinking is pretending to be interested int he 08' and ask how much they would offer it to me for, then probably opt for the 07' because its the only one that is the the color i want.

do they call back immediately or do they take their sweet time?
also i cant really go to any other dealership that is (kind of close by) unless i want to drive 50-100+ miles away just for an rx-8. because both Mazda dealerships close by are GALPIN DEALERSHIPS so i really cant say "they're offering me this...bla bla bla"

Oh they'll send you emails here and there but when they call you..thats when you say "Well well well...."

Or you can go into the dealership with rapid fire remarks about the price. Quickly pace about the room acting like your busy and you have no time for this, give him a glance once in awhile then shout your price. If he shakes his head then sit there and say "Then I am going to call everysingle Mazda dealership nearby while sitting here...I'll leave it on speaker phone for you". Watch as he moans and grovels when the dealers give you a bargain. THen you give him a quick pimp slap and say "Das right Beeeoootttchh".

After a week ride in with your bentley continental and 37 diamond encrusted white stallions and say you bought it at MONTGOMRYS FLEA MARKET http://youtube.com/watch?v=HesQ_hRbVG8
