A zero toe front alignment with negative toe rear will cause the car to follow ruts (tramlining) and will also increase oversteer, making it easier for the rear to step out. Did the previous owner autocross? Is it black? Might be my car, because that's how I had the alignment set up.

Is your *** end swinging out as you FLOOR it around corners, because most rear wheel drives will do that around corners

listen to YaXMaNGTO. If your alignment is off, you'll still have the same issue. If your swaybar bushings are worn, this would also happen but even if you fix the bushings on the rear swaybar, the squirlly feeling will still be promenant.

Getting a thrust alignment will rule this issue out, some tire places will also allow you to look underneath so you can also have the bushings & control arms inspected.

It's better to have it set to stock performance before making mods, otherwise any expected increase to handling could also wind up increasing the way the car currently handles. (tramlining)

Best of luck. My guess is if it's not the alignment, then rear sway bars or control arm bushings might be warn.

if the car is under warrenty, this might be covered due to premature wear.

Right, this guy is either retarded or it's a joke thread. It's like common sense suggestions are just going in and out of his head and he's not even responding to what people are saying.

He's going to change suspension pieces before he's even figured out if there is something legitimately wrong with his car or it's just in his head? I asked him to test drive other RX8's at the dealership to compare to his car, and he didn't even respond.

Talking

+ .... this is getting intense.

Nice Version:

What we're trying to say is, isolate the issue before replacing other things . Test driving another 8 at the dealer would also prove your point as last recommended. But if your up to using your own $, its best to isolate the issue.

Best o luck.... don't let my mask scare you I'm past Bankai

"rear end fells loose" Well, the car rotates really well in turns and the rear end is easy to break loose. This is probably normal.

"the wheels swaying" I have no idea what this is.

My advice? Get a turbo, then report back.

thats tramlining and is worse with a poor alignment. the factory alignment specs are very wide. get a good alignment

And go to a different Dealer. Is it the Service manager that's talking to you or the mechanic?

If it's either, really you should go to another dealer that is recommended on this board. Because if there check is negligent, then what confidence do you have in them doing the repair service right?

I bought my 07' rx8 in August of 06'....she drove PEEERRRRRFECT until the engine blew....Listen to me...WATCH YOUR OIL CAREFULLY.....I don't know about your 07' but mine loved to drink oil.....good luck...I would take the 8 back to the stealer and let them drive it with you in it....Like some people say here though...some times when I would hit a hole or something on the interstate it would jerk some..but not where I would be curious about it...Maybe you have the ow profile tires they tend to be kinda jerky at times..lol...
