New RX-8 Owner, 1 week impressions

Proud owner of a Sunligh Silver GT package as of 5 days ago. Firstly i would like to thank the stickied "little things" thread above this post as it has oppened my eyes to the magnitude of this vehicle we are so lucky to drive. Anyhow first impressions from a single, law student in the south is that this is simply the best automobile i have ever owned, the quick shifting, high RPMs, cockpit like interior, the cornoring OMG the cornoring, the brakes, the stock rims, all the little quirks that make the Rex what it is. Anyhow this is just after a week and i love it even more than the day i bought it, p.s the thing about you just have to look back at your baby after parking it is soo true....

Welcome to the club! You’ll like it even better after the break in period when you can run it up into the higher RPMs and not worry about it’s long term effects.

I do that mainly to make sure I park far enough from everyone else so that *no one* will be able to ding my car, swinging their door open carelessly :o

oh yeah congrats on the new ride :D

not so much on the FD, but the FB, there's no way you could miss that buzzer. i haven't been in a FC, so i don't know how the buzzer is on that. if i'm not actively listening for the buzzer on the 8, it gets lost in rasp...to me anyways.

oh, i don't know if this is universal, but typically rex = wrx. 8 is short for rx-8...or you could possibly use FE, although i don't noticed too many people doing that. but again...thats just my experience hanging around rx7 and wrx people.
