New RX-8 No book yet, radio control question!

In one car I test drove the button on the right could be pushed then you turn it to adjust, bass, treble, fade, and balance. On the one I took home, it will not adjust, the audiopilot is on and stays on. Anyone have any suggestions, is there something locked out? They were out of books at dealer, service department wants to replace entire radio.

Sounds....

Sounds like one of the other buttons is pushed in, and staying in. Give all the buttons/***** a good flick, make sure they work and go in & out.

Otherwise, let them replace the radio!

might as well let them replace the whole radio. It is free after all. And they'd rather just give you a whole new radio than try to figure out what is wrong with the one ****.

Looks like that is what I will do, when they finally get my car registered so they can actually warranty it. Never heard of such a thing..............
