Hello I just purchased a new 07 Rx-8, for the last 10 years I have driven a 95 Mistu 3000GT. I fell in love with the 8 as soon as I took it for a spin, glad I found the site.

Welcome! Post some pics when you get a chance (like I can talk - I haven't posted mine yet either!). A friend of mine had the twin-turbo version of the 3000GT and loved it except when it came time to replace the turbos ($3K each!).

When you get a chance, add a signature and include the specs on your new baby!

Welcome to the fold. The 3000GT was always one of the cars I'd wanted.. they can look excellent. The 8 takes the cake these days though

Thanks for the nice welcome, My RX-8 is completly stock till tuesday(adding window tint) it is the 2007 RX-8 Touring Galaxy Gray MC with Black interior.

I will get some pics up soon, did not trade the 3000GT in I kept it was too large a money sink with no trade value. The mitsu was great up until 3 years ago when seems like everything had to be replaced on it. In 95 it was top dog but it cant even come close to the feel and drive of the RX-8.

IMO...................watch the tint. Don't go for metallic. You will get varying opinions, but to me it was worth the risk of interference with radio and other electronic signals getting in/out of the car.

 

Same problem here with my Stealth. There was no way I could part with it for just $1000. Stupid dealerships just don't know what a good fun car is worth these days I guess.

Lol yeh I have been on a 3000gt forum for over 7 years Im a noobie here but a forum vet

Just got back from getting the windows tinted at 15% all the way and no tint on front windshield. Car looks awsome with the tint cost was 135.00 for the total job and I did ask about radio problems and none are found with the car after tinting so it looks to be all good.
