Hey guys, just bought a 2004 RX-8, Grand Touring, 6-speed. 36K miles. The car is completely stock, Sunlight Silver (I think that's what it's called), with the Red/Black leather interior.

I never knew a car could be so fun to drive. This is my 3rd car this year. I had a 2005 Acura TL for a few years, then sold it, bought a 2003 Ford Mustang GT 5-speed. I really loved the sound of the Mustang, but the driving experience definitely left me wanting more. So I sold it, and bought this RX-8. My commute is about 60 miles one way to work, and now I actually look forward to driving to work.

I try to do all my maintenance myself, changed the oil and spark plugs yesterday (a ritual I always do when I buy a car). I'm an aircraft mechanic (hydraulics) by trade, so I have to be in a real bind before I'll let someone else work on my cars.

Anyways, just thought I'd introduce myself, I've been browsing this board for the past few days, and I'm amazed at the wealth of info there is here.
