New owner of an 05 Rx8, anything I should know?

Just got an 05 Rx8 the other day. I know not to turn it on then immediately turn it off in fear of the engine flooding, but that's really the only tip I've picked up. It's got about 118,000 miles on it and has had roughly 30 oil changes. As far as I can tell it has been strictly maintained. However, I'm not familiar with rotary engines, so any advice on what to look out for would be greatly appreciated.

You really need to read this thread https://www.rx8club.com/new-member-forum-197/new-potential-owners-start-here-202454/

Read every other sticky and FAQ on the site as well.

I know very little about owning an Rx8, considering I've never owned one in the past. However, as far as Rx8's go in general I do know a thing or two about them. So, no, I wouldn't say that I bought an Rx8 without having known anything about them prior.

Yeah I'm pretty sure, I have the car facts from the first purchase up until the date it was given to the dealer I bought it from.

clicking the link i gave you would be a great start. It even has a section telling you how to search the site. Obviously you haven't done that, or you just like to argue with lta

people are friendly here once you learn the ropes. we all just get frustrated when the same questions (yours) get posted over and over again. If you make no effort on you own, you won't get much out of this site or the community. Some hate that it's like that, others prefer it.

lta is trying to help you. You're just not putting any effort into helping yourself or reading anything posted thus far.

good.

Not to be mean, but leave this thread be and just read. Read all of the stickies in this general section if not more. You'll find that everything you've asked in this thread will be answered.

No problem. Honestly, you'll learn more from that thread than from sifting through responses in this one, even if everything is answered, you'll have right answers, wrong answers, jokes, flames, and tons of "Search" responses. It's the nature of the beast. I myself am making an effort to at least post a helpful link instead of just saying search newb.

Happy reading and happy rotoring. Don't be afraid to ask questions if you need clarity and can't find the answer with the google search method. The New and Potential Owners thread goes into detail about all of that.

Rule #1: Know everything that was ever done to your car.

Rule #2: Search

Rule #3: Search

Rule #4: Search

Rule #5: Take a break and drink a beer

Rule #6: Search

Rule #7: When you get sick of using the search button, try using google...

Works every time...

We should make a drinking game out of the use of the word "search" on this site

You and I both know you didn't mean that, did you?...I know you're only a man, but attempt to think before you answer...
