Thumbs up New member! RX8 info . Thank you all

Hello guys, I am new to this forum, so first of all I am Zero25 and I am happy that i found a rx8 forum

I have been doing heavy research on this cars. I havent got an RX8, but I found one near my house that is on sale.

It is a 2004 Mazda Rx8 GT MT ( whats the difference on the GT MT, is it only the leather stuff?)

I am college student, and I always liked the look of this car. The thing is that I have read a lot of bad and good things about the engine. If I take care of the oil and that kind of stuff, will my engine last long enough?

It has 45000 miles, the guy who is selling the car told me this but I dont understand Lol please help...>
2,616 cc 2.6 liters rotary 2 front engine with 0 mm bore, 0 mm stroke, 10 compression ratio, none and zero valves per cylinder RENESIS< what does he mean? sorry for being a noob on this engines...
I dont want to buy this car and a month later start buying a new engine for thousands of dollars
I already saw the car, and it looks really good. It really looks that he really took care of it.
Thanks guys!

Your research apparently has not gotten as far as the RX-8. It's powered by a 1.3 liter Wankel engine. The name of this particular engine is Renesis.

Go to the RX-8 section of Mazda's web site for some nice pictorials and blurbs about the car and the engine. If that piques your interest, come back here and read the FAQs for particulars about owning one.

If I take care of the oil and that kind of stuff, will my engine last long enough?
Depends entirely on how long is long enough. Read the sticky about the 100k engine core warranty.

He must have 2 renesis engines under his hood. 1.3 + 1.3 = 2.6
