New here!

Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Josh and I currently reside in Gainesville VA (Northern VA). I got my start in cars back when I was 15 and I bought a minty fresh '88 RX-7 convertible. I owned it for my entire high school career, and even for a year or so after I had graduated. I invested alot of money in it and really loved the car, but I chose to sell it and use the money to create a savings account. Anywho, I then briefly owned a '97 E36 M3, which turned out to be a hunk of junk, and was sold several months later. At that point I was moving out of my parents house and wanted a car that was good on gas, could be driven on a daily basis regardless of the weather, and something that was unique. I tossed several car ideas around in my head (including the RX-8) and decided on ordering a brand new '07 Cobalt SS 2.4. That was back in Oct. '06 when I took delivery of the car. Its been a great car to me, and has about $7,000 worth of aftermarket modifications done to it. Its been showed, drag raced occasionally, won CobaltSS.net car of the month, PFYC.com Cobalt of the month, and is overall one of the most respected Cobalts around. Anywho, im moving to SC in spring '09, and im starting a new chapter in my life as i've lived in VA all my life. I decided that with the move, i'm gonna go ahead and get a new car as well. I've always wanted an RX-8, but I could never afford the insurance. But in April '09 all my stuff comes off my record, so i'll finally be able to get an RX-8. I already have everything I want to do to it planned out (I have a tendancy to plan cars out months before I get them), so now its just a matter of getting the car.

Also, im not new to forums by any means. I have 7,000+ posts on CobaltSS.net (and set up all 5 of the last VA meets), so im by no means a "n00b".

Thanks for reading

Thanks. Generally any car I own winds up being a money pit though, lol. Its gonna be hard to part ways with my current car. Like I said, its won alot of achievements, had online features, its in a calender, and right now its the 4th highest rated Cobalt on Cardomain. I wish I could just keep it AND get an RX-8, but I guess ya gotta make sacrifises everynow and then in life.

For the record, I want a black RX-8, 6-speed with the appearance package.

Thanks everyone! A new one is out of the question....just too expensive. Probally gonna get an '06 or '07. Im in no rush to get one though, so i'll take my time and find exactly what im looking for. I want it to be black, 6-speed, stock/un-abused, appearance package and low miles.

Nor am I a n00b to rotaries.....i'll get a pic up of my FC I owned. But yes, i'll admit im a n00b to RX-8s. I know alot of whats out there for them as i've been researching them for since they came out, but i've only driven one once and never laid a wrench on one.....
