New Gift From Mazda

OKay....just my two cents....but

For all the bitching that goes on...it's pretty nice to receive an unexpected gift from Mazda. I just got the insulated coffee mug and thermos today - they're nice touches for an after-the-fact sale.

And it even came in RED.....not velocity red...but red none the less!

Let's all give kudos to Mazda when it's deserved!

Ehh, for a coffee mug that's produced for 1 buck....nah.
However, yes it is nice to receive some sort of unexpected attention. But, they didn't go out of their way for it. Let's wait and see if they have a much better surprise in the future.

You're pretty jaded, yes? What does a company have to do to get on your good side? Let's see, they produced the car in the first place, gave you a nice book, gave you mug and thermos... now I expect you're looking for your FREE in-warranty maintenance coupon, and oh yes, the $500 play money...

So... I think you now need some Prozac or smthg to get a smile back.... :D ....why not give poor Mazda a little credit that they are TRYING to give some back.

Just wondering...how did you manage to receive the mug? Did you pre-order? I would love to have the mug and thermos but seeing that I didn't even get my LETTER until September 24th, a month after everyone else, I don't think my chances are very good.

Not sure which list I was on.

The outside of the box says from "Custom Order Headquarters"

I inquired about the car way back when and had custom ordered one in another state. I ended up canceling the order and just bought off the lot.

Never the less, it was a pleasant surprise and free is a good price -- plus, I don't think their available to the general public (excluding ebay I'm sure). It's got a nice finish to it and has the rotary and RX8 painted on it. Neat stuff!

Plus the fact that I've only seen one car like mine in the last 2 months - it just adds to the exclusivity of it all!

So c'mon, lighten up and enjoy the car with hot cups of coffee!

I just got it Saturday, from Mazda Custom order headquarters:

A horsepower kit!! You just bolt it on and it adds 40 HP and 20 ft lbs. can't wait to try it out!! Tee Hee

No actually I received the mug and the thermos also Saturday with a special book inside. I got my car in July so give it time. Several people were talking about this same package when I started on this forum so they seem to be making the rounds. It is a very nice jesture. Just last week we were having a fundraiser at work and had a thermos like the one they gave only in plain silver. It was alone $13 and the cost was $8 so it is a nice gift irregardless. The mug is nice too. For those that have not seen it, both are painted red with RX8 on them and the rotary emblem. It is probable to see such accessories in a BMW or Mercedes parts depot for about $30 each. Very Nice touch Mazda.

Reality is a good thing!

That is not the droid (gift) you're looking for says Obewan.

Think mug and thermos!

Don't let that FARCE be part of you.

I got my coffee kit too...:D

In case you didn't know, these were sent out before now to the pre-order folks, back I think in June. This is round two for this gift. I pitched a small fit about this to Mazda, cuz I was a late pre-order & didn't get this back then. All's well now.

And Rodster, it's been the face that was scaring me.:p

Re: Re: Re: New Gift From Mazda

Not jaded; but despite the 'little' attention...it won't buy my gratitude towards them. I PAID them over 25 large for the car. So, let's say that they were able to produce and send out (S&H included) slightly over 20 THOUSAND MUGS with my purchase?! (yeah, well...maybe Im exagerating..theres Mazda's payroll as well.)

Heck, they want my gratitude?!?!...give me an exchange car every 50 thousand miles. I'll be grateful for that!

Ohhhhh! and BTW, I didn't preorder....so I am paying for your little gifts!! :D and here's my smile...never gone.
