Angry New to the club.... they KEYED club that is

So i as many others have, been keyed...

Im sure i could search as i should but im just too angry right now to go searching so if someone just wants to give me a rough estimate of repair costs and if it will ever look the same or not that would be great.

If not enjoy the pictures... it goes from about the middle of the rear door to about 2-3 inches from the headlight.

it seems deep enough to not be able to be easily fixed... but this is my first keying experience so what do i know lol.

im going to get an estimate on tuesday and just use my ins as i wouldnt be surprised if its over $500 considering its back door drivers door and fender.

im going to post tomorrow a photo of what someone did to my b pillar. Right now im looking to see if the black piece can be replaced in whole or if there is something bigger I have to do. I think i managed to find a piano black replacement that replaces the entire metal piece though.

as for getting keyed people key nice cars. One of the doctors I work with has a maseratti that got keyed, and another employee I work with has an rx7 that has been keyed. People seem to like messing up other peoples nice cars. My 8 got keyed on the driver side door two months ago. it just happens, and if your going to own a nice car you have to be ready for people to jack with it.

if you know anyone that works at a dealership, they can get that fixed for next to nothing (same people they use to fix lot cars).

Im using a touch up company to touch up 7 years worth of rock chips and a small 'keying' on the side for under $200 total. Its a little cheaper for me since Im an employee but Im sure if you know someone, they can pull strings for you..

Visit or call your local Porsche or Ferrari or Bentley dealer and ask them where they send cars for body work. Is there a local shop where classic car owners take their cars for work? Find out. You can also go to Porsche and Ferrari forums and see which shops they use in your area. The point is, ask around, and you'll find the place where **** car owners go.

Haha the porshe and bentley dealers in my area made me lol a bit. Classic car shop is a possibility but even that is far fetched. Good shops in my area are few and far between that is for sure. I have never even once seen a ferrari or bentley in my town, or maybe not even in the state ever. I think there might be a somewhat porshe dealer in fargo which is 4 hours away. I think i am going to give a local shop called legend auto body a try, their building was destroyed in a tornado last summer and now they have a fresh building with all new equipment and i somewhat know the owner and he seems like a knowledgable (sp?) guy.

^ Ah, N. Dakota, I didn't realize. But yeah, the guy with new equipment sounds good. Tell him you really want it perfect, and that this is not a rush job – to take as much time as he needs to do it right. Good luck!

Ya there are a bit too many ricers or hicks around here with nothing else better to do... My family had a bad experience with dans auto body a couple years back when we repainted the trunk on a neon. It started peeling again within about 6-7 months so i think ill just stick with legend. Gonna go in for an estimate in a couple hours and see what its gonna cost.

My old RX-8 got keyed too -- it was half the size of yours and only went from the rear drivers side door to the fuel filler cap. $1,600 was the estimate I got. I went to three different places and they were all within pennies of each other.

Just got an estimate of $1429.59

I do have full coverage so i will end up just paying the $500 deductable, but what sucks is that they are pretty much booked until the end of the month -.-
