Cool New Arrival here

Picked up a new 08 VR GT, 6sp... Car had 170 miles on it when I took ownership of it yesterday afternoon.

Got an ok deal, not great (regardless how much the dealer would like me to believe I was screwin them) but anywho..

Spent almost half my day today reading threads around here

Those of you with 04-08s, where's your oil pressure gauge sit? Manual says it's supposed to be ½ way, but mine's consistently a few ticks above that.

Had a couple other queries, but I've been up for nearly 24 hours now (go go graveyard shift weekend) aaaaand my mind's a bit frazzled.

Welcome to the club! Great choice on color cuz VR is the fastest lol. As for the oil pressure gauge, that's normal...plus it's a dummy gauge anyway. Post pics too!

Welcome, gratz, that's pretty much a brand-new 8!

The oil pressure "gauge" isn't a gauge at all, it's just a switch. It's like an idiot light: at a bit past half the light is off and all is OK, and when it's at zero the light is on and there's a problem. There's nothing between normal and zero.

Pics to come sooner or later... possibly in between. It is a brand new car. No previous owners... I wasn't looking for a new car, but they made it so hard to say no.. Oh well, that's their job, right? And the VR is nice, tho I still think it may get me into trouble :|

I live 1 mile away from it.

Don't take your car there for service, They are wreckless. I got my engine replaced there and the day I got it back, my brake caliper fell off on the freeway and damaged one of my new rims and damn near killed me. They paid for a tow fixed the caliper and ordered me a new rim, but it was another week without my car.

That's disturbing.. Dominic seemed an alright guy, but he's the service manager.. *shrug* I've already got them ordering new cloth for the center speaker since mine was not how it should be. It was pulled up on the passenger side.

Still gotta get them to do a full detail also. They did a quick wash (maybe wax) before I drove it home.. water spots down from the door handle...

He's not that bad, when face to face, it's just the techs that you gotta watch out for.

Yeah. They are better, if not the same. I seriously think we have the worst dealerships. They are both owned by the same person.

What would 150 million dollars and Jessica Alba do for you if you are like Christopher Reeve and Stephen Hawking.
