Totally sick of seeing these topics. Search and learn, nobody cares that you're a spoiled *****.

This thread is just an outright bash.

It's one thing to be young. It's another thing to be stupid. 90% of the time the 2 go hand-in-hand, I agree, but for the most part the younger owners on this board have proven to be more mature than the younger owners of, say, Hondas.

We get just as many kids that don't search as we do adults that don't search, so why rip on the kids? I think I'm one of the few that like seeing young owners. Mold them while they're young. Teach them how to drive before they devolp bad habits. Stuborn ******* adult members will always be stuborn ******* adult members. No so much the case for kids, so how about we not dedicate a thread to turning decent kids into stuborn ******* adult members?

Well said. A forum owner myself, I can safely say that the amount of adults who DON'T use the search feature is just about as common as the younger audience.

That's not the point. I'm 19, I'm not a stubborn ******* adult member, and my parents bought me my RX-8 just like these kids. But it's really ******* annoying when they go and proclaim it like it matters "HEY LOOK AT ME I'M ONLY 16 AND I DRIVE A REALLY FANCY SPORTS CAR".

How about: Hey guys, I'm a new owner, do you have any tips that I should know? If they can't figure out the standard stuff we tell every 16 yr old on their own: don't race, don't show off to your friends, don't speed like crazy, then they probably aren't mature enough to own a car like this in the first place.

I don't remember any of them coming to the boards saying "HEY LOOK AT ME I'M ONLY 16 AND I DRIVE A REALLY FANCY SPORTS CAR"

Infact, they normally the 2nd example you said...The only one that has stated the above phrase was a joke another member posted (from what I've seen).

And I think it's funny how you're only 19 and calling these 16 year olds "kids" by the way.

By the way, I was 16 and got a new convertable camaro. I was so spoiled that I never told anyone I had it, never wanted anyone to know my parents had money, and didn't like talking about it because of jerks like you that auto-assume everyone that is taken care of by there parents is automatically spoiled and a *****.

Ever had a giant cup of coke thrown all over the front of your new trans am from a guy you've never even seen or spoken too? Know why he did it? A friend of mine told him about my new car, and he thought because I was so spoiled he would get back at me. - And just a little FYI before anyone jumps to conclusions, my camaro got in 2 wrecks (neither of them my fault) and was totaled, after that I bummed rides from my friends to get to school for a few months before getting that car. It wasn't a "LOL DAD PLZ BUY SPORTS CAR NOAW" moment.

<3 people like you that assume everything.

The search function is a waste of time far more than it is a resource, from my experience, unless one is unemployed or otherwise has huge blocks of time available with nothing else to fill them.

Rather than tell newbies to search, I'd suggest that they read the stickies first. Search as time and patience permits.

I hope you are talking about the people who post stupid things when they are young, not young people with rx-8s...

Makes me want to continue to say "im slightly jealous, but not really. thats because im a man and worked for it." Thats basically right there how to phrase what you guys want to say. Look at it from my pov, then look back at it from your pov. Imagine a high-schooler who has an rx8, who gets good grades, who doesnt street race or hasnt gotten a ticket, and who enjoys his car. I dont think you can call him a spoiled ***** can you? Maybe spoiled, but no the *****. Let me take that back, yes to the spoiled and no to the *****. Just give up while you are not ahead, you'll keep yourself out of a big ditch.
BTW, ask your mommy or daddy if they would have rather had more money than they did. ask anyone, and most reasonably people would say "yes, that would be nice." Havent you heard the people that say "only the best for my children." They really mean only the best for my children, as long as i can afford it. and if you can afford it and you trust your child, then what the hell!

i see nothing wrong with a young driver to drive the 8
whats wrong with that?
if they rev in parking lots, speed during unnecessary times, or race and think they are cool?
that's stupid. you can call them a spoiled *****
but if they are just from a wealthy family, there is no reason to call them a ***** or even spoiled? don't hate cuz they got your dream car for their 1st car, its just a matter of wealthiness. you cant hate them for being in a wealthy family?
because if you are calling any young 8 drivers a spoiled *****. you are already offending one of many on this forum.

^ha, finally someone in this thread who agrees. i had one comment once about using my mom's camera once, and then SayNoToPistons keeps on saying "awe, mommy bought you new wheels." Just because i used her camera doesnt mean that she bought me the wheels, lol. Especially if I worked for them, and bought them myself, you can see why I get aggravated with his comments.
