Need some help.

Hey my name is matt and i live i washington state. I just bought my first rotary(04 RX8 MT Velocity red) and had a few questions.
1. I have had mixed tips on the proper way to shut off the car so any advice would be very welcome.
2. I'm looking to get as close to 50 more horse as possible. I was thinkking complete exhaust and intake. What else? i dont want turbo or nitrous.
3. a friend of mine told me to chip it. is that really worth it and where can i find a good one?
4. also i bought a warrenty with the car. has anyone had any problems with a non factory warrenty company?

I appreciate any and all advice.

Read the stickies. Let it warm up to 'atleast' the 2nd coolant temp bar before shutting off. If it's still under warranty, take it to your nearest mazda dealer to make sure it's had it's recalls, and latest PCM flash done.

I'm in the seattle Area also, There's a group of people meeting at East Gate applebees around 1pm tomorrow.. you should show up.

uhh no high performance gains getting an intake/exhaust. Realistic option is to get a turbo or supercharger, which nets 60-100hp before needing a bigger fuel pump and injectors.

ALWAYS do the oil change at 3k 6k that's in the manual is questionable, especially if your using the 5w20 oil.

Later!

Mike

ah. Warranty, read the fine print. What we say in relation to your aftermarket warranty is irrelevant, as everything in the disclosure is your only agreement.

But no.. my Aftermarket Extended Warranty just replaced my engine with the 100.00 deductible, But i keep all my records and a sphincter that can withstand the vacuum of space (kind of an oxy moron statement with relation to dark matter huh?)

Congrats on the new car and welcome to the club. Read all the "sticky's" in every section and enjoy the car.

if you ever need help again, put what you need help on on the subject line rather than: "need some help".
