I have an 04 rx8 4 port right now. I'm 16 and it was my first car. Ive had it for about 5 months and I think its slower than a prius lol. Rx8 is stil my favorite car so I'm thinking of trading it in and getting an R3. Are they good? or is the 09 GT better?

Not a good idea getting an R3? lol why? and yes i know. But the 09 GT doesn't come with a spoiler or the sexy rims. But has some stuff the R3 doesn't.

 

Isn't the R3 suspension same as a shinka and 40th aniv?

 

lol the r3 isnt any faster then a normal gt? am i wrong in saying this? it just has a wicked setup from what ive read, its even more of a drivers car sweeeet.... but i wouldnt justify trading in cause you will get nothing for ur previous for about the same car.....

I would say if your only 16 don't get a brand new car. Get an 06-08 GT, and use the rest of the money you save on some appearance and suspension mods. You will be very happy.

I agree. But it all depends on the $ situation. If you got it then buy it.

 

But the thing is I have no warranty. and this 04 is giving me way too many problems. Having the reliability and peace in mind of a new car is that your the first driving it. The owner that had my car before me raped this thing. It's been hit from the front and the dealer didn't tell me.

I opened the bumper and under the foam that huge bar was all in. So it's handling is better than mine for sure i presume?

the bar was hit. bent in. they never fixed that. and yet the dealer said its never been hit.

um FI will/can make you faster than a stock R3, easily

 

he's an AT so it won't make him THAT much faster.

 

go get a audi TT or a used 350z if u want something faster. plus the new tt's are sexy IMO

 

R3 is purely setup for performance and exterior looks- not so much for comfort. so, if u plan on auto-crossing or tracking a lot, the R3 would be better. if you're looking for a comfy daily driver, the GT is the way to go. get the 6 speed though or you'll regret it later.

 

My next car is definitely going to be a Manual 6 speed. I would get the new sexy TT's however I just love hearing that rotary lol. and reving high is what i love the most. R3 is definitely what i want. and there is no way FI on my car will improve me 4 seconds in 0-60. its 11 seconds for a 4 port auto if you dont neutral drop or anything.

 

350z = ew... i raped my friends 350z manual on a canyon like no tomorrow. Those things have too much power to handle. he has the 08. 300hp i believe.
