Has anyone had any luck removing the dummy switch plates on the panel that houses the DSC and lighting switches? And can the position of those switches be switched around to facilitate future mods? There are four positions and two are not being used.

I want to remove one to do a custom install of the remote mute panel for my Escort Passport 8500 Radar det.

Ii think they snap in and out. I want to pull one ...then cut out a hole in it and install the panel then reinstall it in teh dash!
