Need Help Picked up my RX8 and having a issue with front display going blank

Hi everyone,

Wonder if anyone has experience this. I picked up my RX8 Tuesday night and this morning driving into work on the freeway my front conole display panel where your temp and radio is it went blank with lines going across. When i got off the freeway and stopped at the light it went back to normal. I tried pushing buttons and turning radio off nothing worked. I'm dreading a electrical issue plus it happen and went away so dont know how much luck dealer will have finding promblem. I;m upset and sad

I used to have this problem. You probably need a new faceplate as you now have a bad connection... for now a temporary solution is to press just below the CD player slot on the right side. There is a connection right behind that. If you push that in it should give a better connection allowing you to utilize your player until its fixed. When I ran into this I just decided it was time to get a new headunit. Double Dins look good...

I had that problem now and then. Found out my battery was dumping it's charge and needed replacement. Seemed to solve the problem.

I did the same thing. Metra kit and new headunit. I was hesitant to do that at first but the sound that comes out of it now is SO much better then the stock unit.
