That just happened to me three days ago placing it on the window sill while waiting to gas up, it's pretty simple despite I've done this numerous times... I wish I have the time to do a DIY, but I'm heading to work in 10 minutes. In the meantime, browse through these links that could help:
Door Will Not Open
Drivers Door Won't Open
Door Stuck Complaints
Sorry, but I'll follow up on this when I get home tonight.

I actually just pulled that inner panel off a few days ago because I'm having a problem with the power locks... But anyway it is a pain to get off, there's all the bolts around the outside, multiple electrical plugs, one clip up at the top you have to remove and two nuts in the middle of the door panel(be careful with this part, due to Mazda's stupid *** engineers the window track is mounted to this panel by those two nuts, so when you take the panel off the window will drop down) After taking every thing off the panel will come off, for your problem though I would say just take all the bolts off that are closer to the rear and just hold the panel back and reach in with your other hand and find the card.

^ I was thinking the same. Only the bottom needs to be removed. Do you know if any of the electrical plugs or units (things like the big speaker) need to be removed before i undo the bottom bolts ?? Also my window is all the way up, does that matter ??? Thanks for the help !!

Sorry, I couldn't do the DIY as promised. It's raining out here in L.A. and I don't have the garage. But as promised, if the rain dies down tonight, I can do the complete break-down tomorrow. It will only take me 15 minutes to do it part-by-part; door panel, inner panel, window motor, window track, etc.

what i want to know is how did you end up removing the door trim/interior without breaking the "A Clips"?

when i swapped my interior i wasnt able to save most of them.

Apparently there's a special fork-tool. I used to have one, but my mom used it as her grill scraper for her BBQ. Anyway, I broke half of mine. Only way to get the panel out when my driver door got stuck and failed to open.

Grace_excel: no worries man !! I had to drive to work with the door panel off lol I hate it !! So right now the bottom bolts of the inner panel are off. I'm scared to remove the 2 hex ones in the middle I'm scared the window will fall. Do I have to unplug any of the motor units as well ?! I'm really being hard of my self for letting something so stupid happen to me !!

It's cool, as I mentioned, lower your window all the way down. Disconnect the wires close to the lower left corner where you have to unscrew the small silver screw. That wire is what connects to your window switch and door locks. That's why you'd have to make sure you unlock the doors and lower the windows.

It's gonna be hard to pull the plastic liner, as well as, putting it back on. The window will not completely fall and break. Remember the window track and cables inside? That will hold it hanging freely once you remove that plastic liner.

Just don't be complacent and get careless... You don't need to turn green and have HULK POWER to remove that piece, LOL! You're there and you know what to do already. Just be patient and remember what you un-clipped and/or removed.

Here's an old picture I took when I had a problem with my driver door lock.

Notice the cable, window track, and the door lock actuator? Those three will hold the window keeping it from banging to the bottom of the door.

^ thank you so much. i cant thank you enough. Now lets hope the card on the inner side of the window not the outside. If its on the outside im assuming i can just lift the window slightly and grab it.

There's no hidden pockets... It's slightly sharp in there if you reach down, so be careful!
