Need Advice Quick....Tires

Ran over some sort of spike with rear left tire, it punctured the side wall so I need to replace it.

I'm hoping someone will know what the stock potenza's go for at the stealership??

The current tires have about 18k on them, and i've driven the car fairly hard, I've been wanting to put some better rubber on the car for a while now but dont have all that much cash to throw around,.....so my question is, should I just buy some better rubber or if I decide to replace the potenza will I have to buy 2 new rear tires??

Just need a bit of advice please !!thanks

last time i was at the dealer (2 weeks ago) they were running for 240. you might be better off buying 2 new rears

edit: i would say order from tirerack.com but it seems you need a tire asap. if its a must then try to shop around town to see if someone will beat the dealer price.

Check with tire rack and the install guys in your area.

Some of them carry the same tire you want to buy or a similar tire at a price you can't resist.

If your potenza already has 18K miles .... I suggest you to replace all 4. Cuz if you just get a new one and put it on, its going to be so unbalance that its not even funny.

The stock potenza sucks anyway, Get the newest Potenza summer or RS960A/S for all season. or maybe you can get a set of Advan. all cost about the same and its much better than the stock 040

This same thing happened to me about two weeks ago. tirerack is good, but I bought my tires from tires.com. They were pretty good and I recieved my tires in the mail two days after placing my order. Shipping was also free. The stock tires are expensive though. Good luck

Do a search at all the Tire places around you. Costco,Sams, everywhere, and look for the 245X40's as well as stock 225X45's. You might find more in the larger and wider 245....and might be cheaper too..

Have the tires shipped to a dealer and have them install them. If they screw up a TPMS sensor they will have to replace it (~$100). If you take to an independent tire place, they will make you pay if they mess up one.

Nice tire, you will not be disappointed. Lots of interest in Hankook RS-2 not sure about sizing.

Kumho SPT Ecstas. They are high performance, just came out and I got 4 of them for 90 dollars a piece. They ride fantastic and look great. Treadwear is better than average as well. 240 bucks for the potenzas sucks. Save some money and use it for clear corners or strakes or something.

Also, I went to a tire and rim store for mine and they were well aware of the tire sensors. I didn't have time to even bring it up. They marked all my rims so they knew what side to put them back on.

from what i hear about these, they have excellent grip, but they are loud as hell, and the tread life is horrid.

Check out www.edgeracing.com. For a good overall tire (traction wet & dry, good tire life) the Toyo T1R. For maximum traction in dry weather (though compromised tread wear & a bit loud) the Falken Azenis RT-615's. KDW's are good tire, but people have complained about them being noisy. If you have a Costco near you they sell them, and you won't have to worry about having them shipped to you, and having to take them to a tire shop and mounted.

IF you want Light snow, all year traction. You can try Toyo's Proxes 4, stock size.

Or Potenza AS/960. this one last longer than Proxes 4. but also cost a lil more.

If you want Super Summer traction, Get Yokohoma Advan. Stock or the 245 size.

I'd second the toyo proxes 4 for an all-season tire, they've got pretty much the best reviews for tires in their price range.

but you can't go cheaper than Kuhmo SPT withouth sacrificing a ton of quality
