n00blet, new owner:
Just thought I'd chime in and introduce myself. I'm new to these forums (and the RX-8), but have been around a ton of other automotive and sports forums for some time now.
My last car that I still own was/is a modded 5.5 gen Maxima. Quick for what it was (low 13's), but after its last mechanical failure (6-speed trans stuck in 4th), I just decided that it was time to get something else. I still have the Maxima, but I'm in-between selling it as is, or fixing it for my oldest to inherit.
Anywho, on to the star of the show:
For at least the next three years, all I essentially have to do is fill it up with gas and a quart of oil or so in between oil changes. Every 5K miles, I get a free oil change/tune up/inspection. Also have bumper-to-bumper warranty coverage, roadside assistance, and any damage to the wheels/tires/brakes not attributable to normal wear is fixed for free for an unlimited number of times.
It's already modded, so I don't plan to do a thing to it. Not sure what the mods all are (definitely i/e at least), but it's definitely comparable to [but slightly slower than] my 5.5 6-speed. Knowing that I've walked these cars hard with my Max (no disrespect, obviously), it means that it must be well-modded (I'll have my buddy's shop check it out eventually). But hey, the dealership/warranty is covering everything as sold, so the mods are covered.
So yeah. Now that I've found this place, I'm sure that I'll be sticking around, since I plan to keep this car for some time.
EDIT: Hands down, the best-handling car I have ever owned, and I used to own a suspension-modded BMW 325i and MR2.

Not sure about the exhaust setup, from what I can see, it is definitely a Magnaflow muffler, and the cat-back looks like what's pictured here, in this full Magnaflow system:
I'll have to have it up on a lift to make sure though. I can tell you, it sounds a lot like the RX-8 Magnaflow videos I found on YouTube.

Oh, I know what I was getting, trust me. I'm beyond all that boy-racer crap though. Trying to see if I can start doing some trackdays or whatnot with this one. Although I can't promise that I won't go turbo or swap in the future.

See ya around.

I actually live in El Mirage, but I work in Phoenix, close to Tempe. I just put "Phoenix" for my location since that's what this whole area is to those who aren't familiar with it.

Not in the near future. She's already modded somewhat, and I'm lucky that all the aftermarket stuff is covered with my current warranty. Then again, I guess I can sneak in some nitrous in there without anyone noticing...

Nice. Whereabouts?
Yep. '09 with about 19K miles. And yeah, friends and co-workers were having a hard time believing that the wheels are stock, until I showed them the stock photos of the car online.

I posted a thread in their New Members section not too different from this thread. I posted it maybe 3-4 days ago. When I hit "submit," it then told me that it had to wait for a mod's approval to get actually posted, which is understandable, but damn. I don't know why it would be rejected, but even if it was, there has been no communication telling me either way.
If it's this way all around, I don't think I'll be hanging around there too much. And this, from people who actually expect me to PAY and attend at least three of their events to become a "full member" and/or have full access to the forums?
I was considering going for full member status, but I seriously doubt that I'd do it now.

Since you're the one that led me there, I'm going to ask you this question: How long does it take to post anything at azmazdaclub.com???

EDIT: Found it. Looks like the thread was all there, and to the moderators it looked like it existed but it was actually hidden. We just did a massive forum overhaul and upgraded to a new forum version so we're still getting used to things. Sorry about the delay man!
Also if you're looking at getting into doing track events, a ton of members from AZMC regularly go out to SCCA Autocross and NASA road course events. The next one is coming up on Nov. 5th and 6th at Firebird Raceway. Check out www.nasaaz.com for more info. Hope to see you around!

Glad to know it was a software issue and not a neglect issue. Appreciate the assist. I guess you earned some goodwill back for the forum/club.
