but hates it that it's not an suv.

My wife drives a stick and loves my car. We recently went on a windy road trip through the sequoias and she had a blast, her face hurt from smiling. Of course I had to take the wheel and scare the **** out of her to see what the car could really do.

I got an 04 rx8 stick

She drove mine and was sooo pissed she bought a scion she loves the small gearbox and how smooth everything is and how u can redline the 8 all day!!

She said her next car is an 8 for sure and always is asking to drive my car haha

I bought "ours" for my wife, hoping she wouldnt like it and give it to me, I cant get her out of it , on the hiway she's usually around 150-160 kmph (130 limit here) and its a 6 port 6 speed. The only thing she doesn't like is having to fill up twice a week. Its off the road at the moment due to an engine failure, should be back up and running in a few months with a brand new 3.6 V6 chev LLT engine and trans.Dont hate.

My wife was skeptical of the RX-8 until we test drove one and saw that it could fit a child car seat and was reasonably comfortable to ride in. Especially for a non-car person, you have to experience it first hand to get it.

We just purchased ours last Thursday. We've already put over 700 miles on it. It sat in the garage all day yesterday while I was at work. I get a call today and my wife says, "I need to back the car out of the garage so I can get the garbage can back in." I said, "If you're going to back it out just to make room for the garbage, why don't you just take it out for a ride." She said "Well, I'm going to go to the store too." My response ... "I knew it."

My wife's liking of the RX-8 is in inverse proportion to the repair/mod bills.

She does enjoy driving it, though, although she complains that it is too noisy. I just recently installed a stiffer suspension set-up, and I don't she's going to like that AT ALL.
