ahhhhhhhhh i was driving today and a civic, altima, wrx all seemed to trap me in and would not let me through... they started driving like 30 mpg in a 55 zone

im assuming they are all friends cuz it seemed like they were getting their kicks outta it!

i was semi boxed in a 2 lane street i was about to drop gear and go into on coming traffic but decided not to be crazy

what did my 8 do to deserve this?

why not go even slower and force them to either hold up the whole road at 10 mph or move on?

 

Wasn't there a commercial out for a car (Model??) which was boxed in by admirers on all sides? Maybe they just wanted a better look at it?

LOL, Shocka, didnt you say that you didnt mind driving slow because then you could show your car off more??? I kinda like it when there is slow moving traffic, the staring, and the thumbs up I get on the eastbound LIE near queens is just amazing...

Anyway, the RX-8s are so few and far between here in TX that heck - when I see one (I am not driving one yet but am driving - an Altima!) - I also want to get a good look. I'd never try boxing one though, but let it pass me so I can drool as it goes by

So far I've experienced nothing but positive reactions.... most enjoyably... the beautiful brunette that I crossed paths with this evening... like me she was driving a Silver 8. She was kind enough to wave as we drove by each other.

Nice to know that other 8 drivers are as friendly as the early Miata owners were that used to signal each other on the road.

 

no problem dude, you have should just roll down the windows and crank up the Stereo, stick your hand out the window and act like a Pro racer after winning a race like you are saying to them "yep yep, Thank you I know I know, thanks for the applause!"

who ever made the comment that the WRX needs better friends .... that was funny as hell.

i also like the idea of waving like a race car driver.. if that ever happens again ill keep that in mind.

 

for future encounters with people driving slow in the passing lane, etc. make little signs on paper like " the speed limit is 45 you're only going 25", or if they're on their cell phone and driving too slow "put the phone down you can't do 2 things at once", etc this may **** some people off but oh well.
