yeah he should be upset that the dealer ripped him off and reamed him and his dad, and violated the Magnessen/Moss warranty act and they both were clueless about it.
Instead he has mis-placed anger at the members here.

It would be a wonderful world indeed if people would treat each other kindly...unfortunately most people treat others poorly which will only get you treated poorly in response.
This was one of those times.
The other thing I personally took issue with was this mentally that the world owes him something and that his problems excuse his behavior. Too many kids without the parents actually teaching them better. Sadly most of society is too self-absorbed to correct that type of mentally and hence you get...Paris Hilton...

But in his case...there is always another side to the story and we only heard his.
Regardless, I would still argue that his attitude, especially how he handles an unpopular opinion as evidenced in this thread, may have contributed to the lack of help from the dealership.

Blah Blah Blah... You are all just jealous and I am sorry you had to pay for your own cars. But all you do i jump on me about being spoiled and not caring and you don't even know half the story. You just assumed and everyone knows what happens to them. All I was trying to do is explain to everyone the crap that me and my 8 have gone through, but know you then have to turn it around and start **** with me. Its not my fault my 8 sucks.

... everyone is so pleasant ... whats the point of sticking up for yourself to strangers ... why do you people care? Yes so what he is a little spoiled. I know I am (I'm 17). What was bad was the way that you came off, man can you even comprehend the way you said it? Good that your rx-8 sucks. It's because you have taken such great care of your car. Let me guess not from your age but your mods and attitude. You are a ricer. You are spoiled and unable to follow guidelines for this car. How did you get your car flooded? Refused to allow the engine to reach operating temperature? Refused to rev it to 3k rpm if necessary to turn off? Your obviously not that mature or else you would not act like a total idiot online. Your a disgrace to the Anthony name (Anthony L).

Projecting a little, are we? It seems that the others made judgments about his behavior before he even started acting that way. He never implied anything about being owed something because his parents bought him a car. The 5 or so people that starting ragging on him before he started flipping out weren't being fair.
Ok, I'm done.

I hate Paris Hilton...who she is and everything she stands for...and a huge reason is simply how she was brought up. Sadly enough tons of kids are being brought up the same way.
A good example was today at lunch when some high school chicks pull up in a benz all "Paris"ed out and proceeded to try to shove thier way thru a Jason's deli lunch line acting like they own the place because they "were late" and needed to get back to school.
Where I live and work is a very nice part of town hence the local teens sporting BMW's and Benz's. Confrontation is rare here. And for the most part everyone just let them get away with it moving outta thier way.
When they got to me and gave me "We need to cut in front of you because we are late for class" speech, I said...Try asking nicely...
"Can we Please cut..."....and I said...Why are you late? Why do you deserve to cut?
"We were shopping and ran out of time"...
So I said...OHHHH...well if thats the case...NO, sorry you will have to wait your turn like everyone else because you are not special.
Stupified that thier skanky good looks and demanding did not get them in front of me they began to plead. I restated that they can wait thier turn like everyone else . Simply because they wasted thier time unwisely does not mean that other people who's time is also equally important should step aside.
To that the people in front of me not only agreed but also stated that they could not pass. The people behind them changed thier mind and after much pouting and making a scene they were asked to leave.
Point of the story is this...
Brats exist, and someone should put them into thier place. Its obvious the parents are not. Cross my path, and I'll be the last person to let brats go on thinking that the world owes them something. Project...yeah sure...who doesnt...I simply have the nuts to act on it instead of sit quietly and let it happen.

see mature adults find better words to express themselves when they argue/debate. The points they make come off a lot better than just telling someone to F off cuz they didn't agree with something they said.

you know i wasnt gonna say anything about the parents paying for ****...i was gonna give the guy a break. but come on seriously...i gotta agree with Timzsi here dont mod if you cant afford your car yourself. yea its nice and all that your parents are helping you out and i dont think anyone is jealous of you. i mean hell it would be nice to have someone pay for anything i have but im in college and making my payment i didnt even ask my parents to help me finance it. you do have more pride in something if you actually work for it. you might want to not say "my parents put me through hell" and they still bought you a car....right there is where you sound like a f'n ***** cry baby. im sure your not but dude seriously....

Wow, I thought this thread started out quite boring. I almost gave up on it until the expletives started flying.
20888, Sorry you felt attacked but your immaturity is showing. I am also sorry your parents worked so much they found it necesary to pacify you by buying you a car.
Hope things go better with your 8...

I agree with you, twinkie, about the "deserving" or being "owed" topic. I have an 8. I try to please my parents, do what they would like me to, stay out of trouble. Do I deserve my 8? Probably not but I have it and appreciate it. I might deserve it though, but either way, I honestly wont say if I do or dont deserve it because it's really not my place to say.
But, twinkie, as well as anyone else who feels the need to say anything more against anthony, I'd suggest backing off a bit. This wont end by adding more, it just goes back and forth. Both sides of this thread's arguments hae valid and pointless posts, but at this poitn it should just end. Hopefully a mod will stop by and close, but until then, just act as if it is closed.

No one's blaming you for that. What's mostly being discussed now is how you stated saying "**** you" to everyone. I was defending you and you specifically pointed me out and I'd hope you're willing to admit that was uncalled for. People will say negative things about posts. It pretty much happens to everyone. It's a good thing to be able to hold back some times. Going off on people like that wont get you far in this forum. I'm not saying if that's good or bad, but that's how people on this forum feel.
Anger = Brain turns logic off...
You have good things to say...and for being young definately mature...just dont get fustrated that not everyone can see things so clearly, especially at such a young age. Some people simply grow up faster than others...

Anthony, you are an immature little brat. You have self pride....whoopdee doo. Shouldn't you earn something to have pride in it??? I have a hell of a lot more pride than your spoiled a** could ever imagine.
When I was 18 and me and my dad weren't getting along, instead of getting me an Rx8 he was going to kick my a** out. So I moved out GOT A JOB, bought a beater 81 ramcharger. In just over 2 year I have EARNED my way from that, to a 2004 Alero that I bought just over a year old, to an 04 8 and I have paid for EVERYTHING, except on the new 8.
Me and my fiance have been living together for about 3 years now, and have gone from a run down apartment with cockroaches to a big screen, all new furniture, and a decent apartment with a garage etc and will be buying a house within 2 years. I didn't plan to get an 8 bc I couldn't afford it.
After seeing that I had worked my a** off royally my father fronted 2 grand in an interest free loan WITHOUT me even mentioning it. It shocked the absolute crap out of me and I was literally in shock. One of 3 times in my 'adult' life that I have cried. So don't talk to me about personal pride until you have had a taste of actually earning it. And I don't mean this bs crap getting A's in school.
Edit: Just adding spaces bc a long rambling post sucks to read.....bad.....

Well its a long story so here it goes.
Back in March of '06 I went to the Mazda dealership on Florida Ave. in Tampa. Mario was the service manager at the time. I had made an appoitement for the CEL being on. I pulled up and signed in and everything and Mario took a look at the car. All I have on it was the Greddy SP2 exhaust, AEM Cold Air Intake, Carbon Fiberhood, and the complete set of the Veilside body kit. He lifted up the hood and said, "Well looks like you voided your warranty." Apparently the CAI and the exhaust voided my warranty. I argued with him for hours, but it didn't work. So I just left and went to the dealer on Kennedy Blvd next to the University of Tampa (which is closed now) and they fixed my car under warranty. Not to long later I was at home about to go to class and the car wouldn't start. I had to have it towed to the Mazda dealer on Kennedy Blvd. Once it got there they said it need a upgraded starter, new spark plugs, and a couple other things I don't remember. Well then he told me that my car was on the branded list. My parents were PISSED! It cost my dad over 1,200 bucks to get it fixed. And I still didn't have my warranty back. After this happened I moved up to UCF and after I drove long distance on the highway or just idling the car would just die, literally. I couldn't take it to the Mazda dealer because I didn't have my warranty and it would just cost more money to fix so I just let this problem continue. Yeah I know it was a bad idea, but I did it anyways. Well just recently almost to the date of my last "flooding" the car wouldn't start again. My parents didn't feel like paying for it again so my dad just gave up and my car sat in the residence parking for about a month. My mom was determined to get my warranty back because I told her its should have never been voided in the first place. We called Mazda North America and they said that I need to put the car back to completely stock and take it to a Mazda dealership and they would have a warranty representative look at it and asses the situation. Well I had my car towed again, but this time to East Mazda on 436 in Orlando. The service manager was really nice and helpfully, forgot his name though. I told him my warranty situation and he agreed with me that it was bullshit. He said I wouldn't have to take off my body kit and all I would have to put on was the stock air filter and exhaust. My drove to Orlando to deliver the parts to him because I kept them all at home and he put those stock parts back on. He also fixed the car to get it up and running for 400 bucks. The warranty guy who came out to look at my car said he would need to talk to Mario first, so I still didn't have my warranty. So about a month ago, while I was back in Tampa for summer vacation. my twin brother and I (who kinda share the car but I consider it mine, lol) were driving and the car just died. We were on Sheldon Rd. and Waters Ave next to the **** plant. The car wouldn't start so lucky we were next to a Goodyear center and we pushed it to them. They said if they can find the problem it would be 90 bucks, but if they couldn't it would be free of charge. I told them that they would never find the problem and they never did. I had to have my car towed again to the Mazda dealer on Florida Ave.. I didn't want to go there because I knew Mario would be their and I swear I was going to inflict some pain on that *******. Well Mario moved to a different Mazda dealer on the East coast, and I got my warranty back! So they fixed the problem, which was some part was loose on the car from when they fixed it in Orlando and fell on the belt and shorted out, under warranty. Sorry for that being long but you need to know the whole story.

Not to start a new argument, but getting A's in school isnt always easy. College isnt easy all the time, can take a lot of work. I'll admit I'm no where near all A's and that I'm not in tough classes yet, or a tough college, but I know that later on college can almost be a full time job so all A's could be quite an accomplishment... Honestly, I dont think anyone should be claiming what they deserve... You have it. Just be happy with that and leave it at that. My $0.02
