I have a 2005 "shinka" Rx8 Manymatic? Well i have a couple things i want to do with it and i need suggestions,tips or questions answered pelase

1) Dragon air intake system, made by Weapon R (cold air intake)
-Can i self install?
-Should i or Should i not?

2) Black Carbon fiber hood
-Tips on a vendor?
-Should i or Should i not?

3) Black racing spoiler
-Tips on a vendor?
-Should i or Should i not?

9) Dash upgrade, I hate using Cd's I want to either Upgrade the dash to have an Aux port OR Implant a way my Android Tablet As main control of things

Anyway, is that tinted head lights legal in your state you live in? It seems too dark though...I don't know.

1) If your gonna get a CAI go with AEM At least you will have some gains and no power loss.

3.) NO! unless you are going to be tracking hardcore no need for a wing like that and even then they are useless bolted to the trunk PLEASE do not go there.

8) again NO! Lambo doors only come on certain cars for a reason because their doors are designed for those kind of hinges many people who go that route end up with their doors falling off their hinges.

11) AGAIN NO! way to ricey.

12) Do not bother unless your buying an access port and getting a tune from some one who knows what their doing.

14) Again ricey and pointless just leave the car as is.

Just my opinion though you can do what ever you think looks nice.

 

They sure did, but it only came in Black Cherry Mica with Parchment interior.

OP, you need to do some research for yourself. Your car isn't a Shinka to start with.

the intake that you want is garbage, and pretty much everything else on your list is ricetastic. Oh and exhaust upgrades have been discussed time and time again here.

This is a point of very friendly and serious advice. If you choose to ignore it your time here will be short and unpleasant.

A) If your RX-8 is a 2005, you do not have a Shinka. 2005 Shinka's only came in Black Cherry Mica, which is a dark purpleish color. Shinka's in Velocity Red (the color in the pic you posted) were possible in 2006, but they did not have the red and black interior that I can see through the windshield. If you purchased that RX-8 with the belief that it was a Shinka then you were lied to.

B) The people posting you links ARE answering your questions. Think about it. If we answer the question here, we are typing the answer right? If we already answered the question for someone else and typed it there, why not just point you to the same answer? It's faster and more efficient than re-typing everything. You will still have to read anyway, nothing changes on your end.

C) I wrote up a thread specifically to address the various components of the RX-8 that are most often modified. That thread was linked to you by goddesshunter, and here is the link again: https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-discuss...rx-8-a-233937/ Read the first 11 posts for everything, or skim through it looking for the specific components that you are looking to modify. Intakes have their own section, for example. So does turbocharging, supercharging, and performance chips. I very very seriously recommend you read the relevant sections before buying anything

D) Your choice of appearance related mods is going to make you a target of quite a bit of ridicule and flaming here on the forum. You won't change people's opinion about doing stuff like that. So if you want to persist down that line and remain on the forum, you will need to grow a very thick skin.
