My RX8 had the flu...

Yup...it had the flu the other day....flooded and wasn't able to start using the posted procedures. So, here's how the rest played out: (1) I called Mazda Roadside Assistance, a flatbed truck was at my house within the hour. Cost for towing 15miles to dealer = $free. The truck driver said AAA was paying for it. I got to the dealership and they were already expecting me (Mazda Roadside Assistance gave them heads-up). I told them I flooded it...all my fault. I asked for it to be unflooded, I wanted the new spark plugs, I wanted a new dip stick, I wanted replacement engine cover gromets (mine fell off some time ago), I wanted the new "N" flash, and I wanted the addendum to the owner's manual. I told them it's all described in the latest service bulletins (I took printouts). They said they'll get it all for me.

Well, I picked my RX8 up today. It's running PERFECTLY! It seems to start a bit quicker (less hesitation) and it's just as zoom zoom as it was before (if not more). Everything I've asked for is taken care of. Talk about a great service experience! Oh...here's where some of you may be asking.."how much was the servicing?" OK....I picked up the car and the dealership says it's all covered under the service bulletins...no charge! By the way...my RX8 has 20,500 miles on it and it's over a year old. Where did I take it: Sandy Sansing Mazda, Pensacola, FL. I'm lucky for having a gread dealership near by.

Check your paperwork and see if they gave you the 660 CCA battery. That has helped mine start faster.
