Does anyone know why this might happen? after one day I have started and it was OK and then after a while I shut down the engine and the steering is very difficult and I can see there is a steering LED is on from the dash board.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this? some of my friends told me that it is a Battery issue and some are telling me that it is a problem with the sensors.

Check all of your fuses first.

 

99% it's the power steering system's connectors.
Easy fix, a search here will show you how to do it.

 

Thanks guys. Found the problem.

It was the wiring problem. the cable from the steering rack to the ECU. I have replaced with the new cable and it is working perfectly fine now.

glad you were able to fix the issue. my first thought would have been a bad u-joint in the steering shaft. glad it was a simple fix!
