Nice, see you guys did a Vmount intercooler. I've been inquiring about the possibility for this on street/track driven RX-8s for some time. Any thoughts?

I would have thought you would have gone with wider tires than that with having so much available power. what made you set the car up this way?

In drifting, you want a really stiff sidewall. When they run wide wheels with a narrower than recommended tire, it stretches the sidewall, making it really stiff when you are in drift. The crazy thing is my driver typically runs between 50 and 55psi in the back to create more smoke :D We may end up going with a larger tire, but for now, that is the same size rear tires that we ran on the Falken FD we built, and it makes 528hp at the wheels.

The bodies retail for $14,391.95 through Mazdaspeed. It includes a bare chassis, 4 doors a trunk and hood. Nothing else on the car is there when you get it. They call them "bodies in white" and are meant for purpose built race cars, as they don't have a VIN number assigned and can't be made legal to drive on the streets.

We will be in Houston for a drift showoff.

Drift Venue: Gulf
Greyhound Park,
Houston, TX
Date: June 9th, 2007
Show Time: 11am-6 pm

hahaha yeah I noticed it. We meant to weld it shut since we have a fuel cell and fill from the trunk, but we forgot and didn't do it before the vinyl wrap of the car, so we are waiting for one to come in from Mazda :D Good eyes though!

Cool deal snipaz2420, see you there!

Yes Tony drives Rod Millens old car. They are the only 2 RX-8's in the US that compete professionally. Should be cool to see them tandem with each other.

I like everything but that JC Whitney wing - I can't imagine that wing does anything for you - it's too high up to help with airflow separation from the rear bodywork, and doesn't appear to be substantial enough to help with downforce on the rear of the car (which would be better served by a deck-lid lip spoiler to help cleanly break the airflow off the back of the car, rather than some garish piece of **** on stilts).

With everything else in the car so purposeful, why the hell that stupid wing? That belongs on a sticker-mod Civic not on this work of art.
