My car keeps shocking me!!

Okay, so this is what I've come up with. Since its been nicer out lately, I have been wearin the sandals a little more often. Since then, everytime I get out of my car and go to shut my door, I get struck by what feels like a freaking bolt of lightening. But, when, Im leaving the gym and still have my shoes on, nothin. One more reason why I love my 8 and one more reason it makes me shake my my head with questions everyday lol. Just thought I would share

LOL...I used to have a Civic that did the same thing every time. It got to the point where my wife wouldn't even shut the door, just walk away and have me close it and take the shock.

i dont understand tho. i havent touched ANYTHING since I bought the car a few months ago. The only other reason than the type of shoes im wearing is that I just started using the cd player about a month ago. its just confusing the ish outta me.

I use the tip of my elbow to discharge before touching the door handle when approaching but also get shocked when shutting the door after getting out so use elbow to shut door. I get shocked the most in skate shoes w/ their flat bottoms it seems.

Touch something metal (i.e. door frame) as you're getting out of the car. Remaining grounded you'll not have the sudden discharge. You're building up a charge as you're sliding on the cloth seats or mats. By remaining in contact with metal the entire time you exit you won't get zapped.

lol im just running a mental picture of this and having to explain to everyone gettin in and out of my car that they have to cross their legs, blink twice, clap hands, open the door with the left hand, take two deep breaths and say a quick prayer to try and avoid the lightning bolt. lol
