When I lived in AZ I hand 50% on the windshield. It made a real difference in the summer heat. On the Rockford demo vehicle, we had limo on the windshield and double limp everywhere else. We got pulled over. The cop had a tint test card. He said he tickets people when he can't see the logo. On our car, he couldn't see the card. Luckily, he let us off with a warning. After I showed him the install.

it is illegal in every state to tint the entire windshield. the ones who do allow it only let you tint the upper six inches. easiest ticket for a cop to write.

 

50% all around and a strip 6" top is good enough - -

p-trix, Why did you do that? Is it just one of those "hah hah, look, they can't see me!" kind of things? What drove you to tint every window on your car and make it impossible to see in?

The only time it's legal to tint the front windshield is only when it's a medical problem. I have a family member with a strange kind of skin disease (Can't remember what it was called) and he had to tint all windows limo. Cops gives him **** all the time but luckily, he has papers that proved the DMV allowed it along with papers with his weird medical condition.

Oh I second the repond on this forum. I was at CC and the kid who works there (probably older than me so shouldnt call him a kid...) came upto me and asked if I wanted to tint my 8. I said sometime soon, but nothing dark. He said the "Style is to tint limo, and 50% windshield" WINDSHIELD????WHAT THE F...???? I told him, that is not my style...people like them (he drives a Z tinted like that) are prone to kill some innocent by stander or driver due to their stupidness.....!!!! THey should be put in jail to realize the extent of their fault!

20% is too dark? Wow, I don't know if your vision really degrades that much with age, but I have 5% on all my windows (except windshield, obviously), and I can see perfectly fine. Also, 30% is not dark, at all. You can see straight through it and pretty clearly make out who's inside.
