My car got hurt!!!

My car is fairly new, and I needed to get my first oil change. I was going to go to the dealership, but the closest one was like 2hrs away and I have no time to go that far because I have to work a lot. (which i regret) So I brought my car in to Jiffy Lube (biggest mistake) to get my oil changed. All turned out good until two weeks later. Yesterday 12-12-04 my car would not start. I almost cried man. I fianally brought it to the dealer and they said Jiffy Lube didnt change my oil correctly and left tubes unconnected and things basically unatached. So my car is screwed and we are going to see what we can do by going to Jiffy Lube and charging them for damages. If any one has and suggestions on what i should do, please share. And yes I know I was stupid.

ok...wel fortunately it was Jiffy lube and not some local shop with grease monkeys running around with their heads cut off...

there should be insurance at this place to cover there errors...but this could take a while...depending on the damage....if the oil ran dry, well good bye engine, and you won't have the car for a very long time...SO make sure Jiffy pays for the loner...and bitch and moan enough and you might get a decent one (not an 8 but maybe a shitty mustang)

good luck man...just curious Manual or Auto?

Yeah man I got my reseats (hope i spelled that right) and the dealership who is also angry Is going to help us get Jiffy Lube to pay for damages. At least while its in the shop i get my red ground effects and X men spoiler for christmas. It is manual all the way!!! I love it!! I like the street race feeling. I raced my cousins camaro and got whooped, but off the line i took it to him.

wah?? Tubes not connected? That simply doesn't make any sense. One bolt in the oil pan. One Oil-Filler cap. One Filter. That's all that needs to be moved.

That's what I'm wondering... there's only a couple ways to f$^k up an oil change, and unfortunately they're pretty bad. I don't understand why someone would take a $30k car to Jiffy Lube to let teenagers and high school dropouts monkey with it...

hahahaha, yeah. I get it, I messed up. I am not sure what kind of tubes and what happend. I brought it to the dealership (towed) and they just said that it is really messed up and there are parts unatached like some kind of tubes and they really didnt give me much detail at the time. They are going to call me when they have more updates. And no I am not in Elementary school and I am in High School. No my parents did not buy this car for me. I bought it my self so **** off. I have been working since i was 11 yrs of age for the soul perpose of buying a car like this. I dont see the problem with me being indepent and not a spoiled little rich kid. Yes I was stupid to bring it to Jiffy Lube, but at the time I found it to be the only option I had because I didnt want to destroy my car in the first place.

lol, I guess it does, in the end it was worth it. Oh and the reciepts show proof I payed for the oil change and there are papers on what kind of work they did and how the inspection went, which they said was fine, but obviously it wasnt. I am just glad that since it is in the shop at the time, I get to get my X-men spoiler put on. : )

Mugato U sux ***. LEAVE PPL ALONE, I think we need to neutre you to keep you calm.
Seriously that stinks samuri hope it gets you fixed. Don't mind some of the *** clowns on this forum...... Most people on here are great just a few bad apples with nothing constructive to say. But i hope they fix it. When I heard "saw" hoses removed i think oil distrubution lines. But you learned your lessons
1. dont go to jiffy lube.
2. In 20 mins or less you can change your own oil.
3. if you dont want to take it to the dealer.
4 Theres a good diy on this forum on how to change your oil. Check it out!
5 dont stop checking this forum because some people are rude.
6 CONGRATS ON THE RX8 good choice. Try not to rice it out with too much things.
