My Car got HIT !!! Black Cherry Color Code ?

Long story ... but in short is that.

Last night some Dumb bitxh who just cant wait as I was turning left and saw my friend's father to say hi, and she probably thought she has a Ferrari or something and tried to pass from my right out of nowhere on a narrow 1 way street, and she appearanty forgot that she has no skills in driving at all.

Lucky speed wasnt fast, but my lovely 8 got *hit* no matter what. She pussied out and dont want to give out her info, well, we didnt get insurance because the damage wasnt that "big"

Parts of my 8's front right was bend, I seriously have no idea how much this damage would cost me to repair it ... sigh ........ See the pic yourself.

Anyway, Im thinking of fixing it and replace the Front Bumper all together with Mazdaspeed version SO now Im trying to "Match the color of my car"

I found the 2004 Mazda's color charts, and hmm

28W should be the Black Cherry Mica, but it saids

"Radiant Ebony Mica B/C"

Is that the right color ?

Also, I think I need Clear Coat right ? to protect the paint.

Sorry Im new to these "Paint" things.

Thanks for the answers

She didn't want to give out her info??? What!!?!?!? Isn't that a crime. That's just like hit and run. You should have called the police.

The Mazdaspeed front bumper is expensive if you buy it from Mazda. The front headlights are expensive too. You shouldn't have to pay for any of that damage. I wouldn't.

My car got hit on the driver side when my neighbor tried to park in front of me and the damage looks similar to yours. The damage wasn't big but trust me you do want insurance to cover this as it will cost my neighbor at least $1450 to fix.

The parts for an RX-8 are expensive. Trust me, I've had to repair mine. What you may think as not "big" could turn out to be $expensive$.

Track that other driver down and use your insurance. Think about it.. You-Me--all of us buy insurance to use it.. NOT to meet the requirement of a law so we can drive on public roads. Sometimes I think it's the insurance companies that write these laws.

I hope you wrote down het licence plate, just give that to the cops FAST. because if she has damage on her car, you can still prove it. Witnesses always help too.

seriously man. She hit you, it's her responsibility. ALWAYS get insurance information. ALWAYS. Whenever I've been hit I always call the cops and request a statement from the other party and myself so that there is a record of the incident. Both times the person has denied being responsible and the police report set things straight.

FYI... I just had my 8 repaired and headlights are $950 each AND don't come with the bulb, which is another $250.... the parts for our cars are definitely EXPENSIVE.

Always get insurance/personal info and ALWAYS file a police report (call cops if you can). There are too many unisured people driving and if you get police involved and they don't have insurance then they get to pay fines according to your state law. You also avoid the "he said, she said" issue. I've heard too many stories (mine and friends) getting SCREWED when they weren't at fault for an accident. If you don't have a camera phone, keep a cheap film one in your glove box.

If you want a recent example, read on:
A teenager hit my wife in my 626 last month. It was raining and she was at a stop sign. This kid overshot his right turn and slid into the Driver's side front wheel. It wasn't fast, but the 626 wasn't drivable.

My wife and this kid weren't going to get the police involved since he was obviously in the wrong. She just wanted me to come get her and the car. Fortunately she was only 2 miles from the house. I drove over, called the cops, took pictures, and got the car "working" enough to drive home.

ALL insurance info and personal info was exchanged and we have a police report filed. We certainly weren't going to claim it on our insurance, so State Farm (his insurance) needed to step up for authorization on work/rental. A report was filed with their after hours people, but they needed additional info directly from the kid to wrap things up.

How did we know this? We had all the contact info and were calling left/right since we were down a car. After 3 days of no progress with State Farm, my wife called the house to find out when this kid was going to contact State Farm. The kid's Mom called my wife a "FRAUD" because my 626 is 11 years old and has had some previous "scrapes" (all repaired except the one where my wife backed into me with the minivan).

Had I not gotten all the info I never would have known where the bottleneck was. Had I not gotten the police involved, that "lady" (and I use the term loosely) probably would have told her insurance it wasn't her "baby's" fault. Then I'd be talking the hit on my insurance and deductable.

Whew.............

Adding to ALWAZL8, the bumper is roughly $950 and you also have damage on the fender, possibly the hood and I don't know if any of the can be repaired.

Excuse me but I think it's stupid to let the lady leave without gettin her info (or calling the cops) and assuming the repair isn't a big deal when it obviously is from the pictures.

Im back here.

well yes its pretty much like she hit and run. but sad thing was that we was both "off" our cars and for some reason my memory was "bad" that time and cant remember her plate number after she just ran off (and my friends were there too I dont really want to scare them by chasing after her, and yes its sad that no one remembers it too ...)

Anyway, I got the withness's number in case I need him I can always call him.

I went to an Auto shop and they said it cost around 550 to re-paint and fix up all the problems. Not *That* bad I think.

Now I just gonna ask them to fix the fudged up part, and replace the bumper with Mazdaspeed version.

Yes, Her car was some garbage 1991/2 Ford , forgot the model. Its just funny that her car has way more damage than I do. I guess Mazda have some good manuf. facility.

I will take a picture of the damage today with my 7.2 Megapixel camera (The other one is too dark and its from my Camera Phone, which only has 2 Megapixel)

Yes Im stupid .... how the fuxk I forgot her plate number ... and I remember what the first 40 of the pi" numbers are ...

Man, I can't believe you didn't get her insurance information!! I wouldn't care about scaring off my friends, I would of freaking chased her down instead of paying money out of my pocket!!!!! THAT'S WHAT INSURANCE IS FOR!!!

I luckily learned from a friend's experience. He got hit by a guy who was driving his girlfriend's car. I waited along with him for 2 hours for a cop to show up (it was a Friday night in metro Orlando and it was raining, meaning that the cops were going to take forever to get there). There was no way he wasn't leaving without a cop writing up a report because without it, the guy could basically say that it wasn't his fault. Which is EXACTLY what happened when my friend called his insurance company. The guy's girlfriend had tried to one-up my friend by calling her insurance company first and blaming my friend. Luckily, HE HAD WRITTEN THE INSURANCE INFORMATION DOWN AND HAD OBTAINED A POLICE REPORT.

But hey, if you want to spend extra money, thats up to you.
